Juneteenth 2026

Take a moment to reflect upon (or Google) the roots of Juneteenth and, as best you can, try to imagine what it may have felt like to be a slave in Texas when they learned of their freedom.

The experiences, injustices and horrors that had been endured and survived - indeed, celebration was in order!

Though injustices and horrors remain present in this time and, for sure, there's always the opportunity for a different type of slavery, often self-imposed.

If we are slaves to our thoughts and beliefs, let us commit to the highest-level thoughts and the most positive and life-affirming beliefs and live our lives from that mindset.

I write with sincere, deep and abiding Gratitude for being born in a different time than my ancestors. I am grateful for the strength and fortitude they embodied which enabled them to survive, that those of us born since then may even have an opportunity to know Life.

Welcome and embrace the opportunities you're presented and those you can create that contribute to the making of a better world and a more humane society.

Celebrate today and each day with A Grateful Heart and An Engaged Mind!

I wasn't planning to do a Riverside EpiCenter "commercial" but I was so impressed with the range of meeting spaces and creative support offered at REC, I just couldn't resist ~ I asked and Joshua-John Frank and Corey Webb happily accommodated me.

The guest experience was on point! ✨️

If you host events, or serve clients in need of event space, the Riverside EpiCenter is most definitely a space to explore and tour!

After four years of presenting Joyspiration Live, seeing people enjoy the experience of being together in person, and having a wonderful time together, I'm inspired to create more new experiences for us to gather, laugh, talk, engage, grow, breathe, enjoy and simply "Be" together.

To that end, I've begun exploring and touring venues in the Atlanta Metropolitan area ~ I had a fantastic time at the Riverside Epicenter today.

The range of spaces offered (various sized meeting rooms, a ballroom, podcast space, coworking space, a full game room, bowling alley, a beautiful theater, rock climbing wall 😲 ) and the creative support available to clients, far exceeded what I knew (or thought I knew) when I arrived today.

The Guest Service experience was also absolutely on point! 👌🏾

I hadn't planned to do a commercial, I was so impressed with the space and experience, I just couldn't help myself ~ I asked and they (Joshua-John Frank and Corey Webb) happily accommodated me.

If you present, coordinate or plan events in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, you'll do well for yourself, and/or your clients, by checking out the Riverside Epicenter.
