What a powerful in the Scenic City! 💙 The MSM Chattanooga Regional team, led by Dr. Mukta Panda, Mark Harvey, and Summer Elliott, hit the ground running today to support their neighbors.
The impact: 📚 YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga : Interactive literacy sessions in 7 classrooms, sparking a love for health and reading in kids ages 2–5! 🥪 CHATT Foundation : The team arrived just as the meal supply ran out—preparing 100+ PB&J sandwiches and rolling utensils to ensure every guest is served with dignity.

Meet Seth Hinrichsen, our incredible Recruitment Ambassador!

Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Seth is a third-year medical student. He earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Public Health from Brigham Young University. He currently serves as Co-Director of the MSM Youth Pipeline Initiative at Georgia Tech and President of the Clinician Leadership Association. He is also a Morehouse School of Medicine Student Ambassador.

Our 's commitment to mentorship began during his time as a Big Brother with Big Brother Big Sisters of Utah and continued as a Pre-Medical Student Mentor for the College of Life Sciences. In addition to his leadership and mentoring roles, Seth is actively involved in community outreach, including dedicating his time to hosting pre-health information sessions at Carver STEAM Academy. He is passionate about advancing healthcare leadership and supporting students on their path to medicine.

Meet our Recruitment Ambassador: Shakera thomas.

Shakera Thomas is a third-year medical student from Augusta, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgia State University. At Morehouse School of Medicine, she serves as Co-Chair of the Care Committee, Treasurer for the Class of 2026, and is an active member of the OB/GYN Interest Group Events Committee. Shakera completed her and rotations at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, WA, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative clinical environment.

Passionate about advocacy and inclusion, Shakera is committed to connecting students across campuses, amplifying underrepresented voices, and sharing resources that help peers thrive. Her goal is to foster collaboration and celebrate diversity, contributing to a culture of inclusivity that prepares future physicians to advance health equity!
