This is Emma, a vibrant 17-year-old who just finished high school!

She dreams of attending Shelton State this fall to kickstart her biology degree. Passionate about horses and cherishing moments with friends, she navigates life with Marfan Syndrome—a rare condition affecting 1 in 5,000 people.

Her local orthopedist at Children's of Alabama Birmingham, AL referred her to another specialist for treatments far from home, which means a 12 hour car ride to Norfolk, VA

Thanks to volunteer pilots like Charles, Emma can focus on her health and well-being instead of the journey. It's heartwarming to see pilots share their love for flying by connecting with patients like her.

Tiffani's experience highlights the importance of community support! She met another AFS patient at Caring House while being treated at Duke Cancer Institute.

Less than one in 200,000 people have the type of cancer Tiffani has and both she & her caregiver are unable to drive long distances due to health issues.

Dedicated pilots play a crucial role by volunteering for mission flights, ensuring that individuals receive necessary treatments without added stress. ✈️💖
