Our Academy students recently spent time at Cobb EMC for a community work-based learning experience that resulted in not only learning new skills but earning their first paychecks!

We are incredibly grateful for our longtime partnership with Cobb EMC and their continued commitment to creating a welcoming, meaningful learning environment for our participants. Opportunities like this help turn classroom learning into real-world experience and empower our students as they prepare for employment.

From joining the Academy, persevering and overcoming challenges, to earning her position at Whataburger, Julia’s story reminded everyone in the room why this work matters and why Tommy Nobis Center exists.

Celebrating our Nobis Enterprises team members! 👏

Mynyon May, Supervisor, and Tony Dunn, General Clerk II, at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Mississippi, recently helped the Military Personnel Flight earn Team of the Quarter honors!

Working alongside military personnel, Mynyon and Tony played an important role in strengthening operations, improving training, and ensuring compliance. Their efforts helped resolve long-standing deficiencies, train and certify 45 military and civilian personnel, and support the development of a five-year continuity plan.

We’re proud of the expertise, dedication, and impact our Nobis Enterprises team members bring to their work every day. Congratulations!

🌱 Growing skills and growing partnerships!

Teammates from Shades of Green Permaculture connected with our Academy students to share insights about the landscaping field and conduct a hands-on site analysis of Tommy Nobis Center’s greenspace.

We’re thrilled to be selected as SOG’s Community Give Back Partner for this fiscal year and look forward to growing this project together!
