It's Signing Day for Taylor! 💙🖊️

We’re proud to celebrate Taylor as he begins his new role on the event set-up team at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church! Through The Academy at Tommy Nobis Center, Taylor strengthened his workplace readiness, communication skills, confidence, and independence through hands-on training and work-based learning opportunities.

Taylor’s hard work, professionalism, and persistence led to this exciting achievement, and TNC staff and fellow Academy students were there to cheer him on as he officially signed for his new role! 👏 We can’t wait to see him continue to grow and thrive. Congratulations, Taylor!

🎉🌮 Flavor, Fun, and Fiesta! 🌮🎉

Our May CONNECT event was one to remember! Students enjoyed festive activities including Pin the Tail on the Donkey, cactus toss, listening to mariachi music, and many other games and activities throughout the afternoon.

We also spent time building important independent living skills by discussing budgeting for food, meal planning, and ways to save money by cooking at home. Everyone worked together to prepare the taco meal by browning and seasoning meat, chopping tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, and getting everything ready to serve.

The best part was gathering together to share a meal with students, families, and staff while continuing to build meaningful relationships and community connections. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event so special! 💛
