If you’ve noticed I’ve been a little absent around here lately, there’s a pretty good 6lb. 5 oz. reason. 👶🏻

The last week and a half has been a beautiful, exhausting, emotional blur of learning our new normal, soaking up newborn snuggles, recovering, feeding, sleeping whenever we can, and just being PRESENT.

Social media has honestly been the last thing on my mind. But super thankful to continue encouraging other first time moms + reminding them what they are capable of!

I think about how much has happened between the woman who hoped and prayed for this baby and the woman who is now days away from meeting him.



Ridge and I have spent the last few years learning how to be husband and wife. Now we’re days away from learning how to be Dad and Mom. 💙

You can be incredibly grateful for where you are going and still feel a little emotional about leaving where you’ve been. 🩵

This season of just being “us” has been so sweet. And while I am SO ready to meet our baby and become a mom, I also know I’ll miss some of the little things about our life right now.

Here’s to embracing the next chapter without pretending we didn’t love the last one. 💛

Why has birth become a battle making us feel like we have to choose a side? I don’t need to make my birth decisions based on pleasing my family, proving a point, or trying to satisfy my doctors.

There is room for both evidence AND discernment. There is room for medical care AND informed consent. There is room for natural birth AND interventions when they’re needed. Most importantly, there is room for GRACE. 🌻
