Meet Patrice Payment, a licensed professional counselor and certified perinatal mental health specialist who’s all about helping moms navigate the wonderful, yet wild ride of motherhood! Through her practice, Mom Life Counseling (LLC), Patrice works with moms in Georgia dealing with anxiety, postpartum depression, or just trying to adjust to the endless (and sometimes overwhelming) demands of mom life.

Patrice’s passion for this work comes straight from her own journey. She thought she had it all figured out when she became a mom, thanks to her background in play therapy, but oh boy, was she in for a surprise! After an emergency C-section and breastfeeding struggles, her picture-perfect expectations were out the window. She battled postpartum depression and anxiety, and unfortunately didn’t get the help she truly needed. Instead, she pushed through, and that experience inspired her to step up and make sure other moms don’t feel like they have to go it alone.

Now, Patrice is on a mission to help moms thrive instead of just survive. She’s also dedicated to her community, co-leading Postpartum Support International’s annual Climb Out of the Darkness walk to raise awareness for perinatal mental health. Plus, she stays busy volunteering at her kids’ schools with the PTA and student governance council, and through her local foundation, she helps families in need with everything from school supplies to holiday gifts.
Patrice’s work is all about making moms feel seen, supported, and ready to tackle whatever motherhood throws their way. To further ensure her services are accessible, she accepts Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare insurances! Patrice is truly here to help you find your way to thriving in this beautiful, messy, and magical chapter of life.
