There’s healing in the water.

On the plane ride home, my mind was on thoughts of sitting in the pool, feeling the warmth of the water and a total relaxation of mind, body and soul.

I didn’t know how much I needed this until I entered the water. I was refreshed mind, both and soul. A soul refresher.

I’m a big fan of using resistance bands with my home workouts for strengthening, stretching and toning.

It’s a full body workout with functional movements you can do sitting or standing that targets big and small muscle groups. With repetition and consistency, you can achieve muscle strength without using weights.

Resistance bands can be used for strength training, mobility exercises, stretching or physical therapy. They all work to help stabilize muscles and can improve bone density.

I am using Alta Resistance bands from my Amazon store.

Stretching in the morning is important to help prepare your body for the physical activity of the day.

Morning stretching can help improve flexibility for better mobility, increase blood flow to the muscles and joints and enhance mental alertness.

I started wall walks a few years ago when I was recovering from frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis). I found it a gentle approach to loosen my muscles and effective in recovery.

Placing the ball between the back and wall provides stability and comfort, particularly if you have lower back pain.

A quick five to ten minute stretching routine in the morning will give your body a boost for the entire day.
