Local 479 is made up of motion picture professionals working together to obtain guaranteed minimum working conditions, to maintain health insurance coverage for themselves and their families, and to protect themselves against employers who may take advantage of employees. Local 479 is not a "hiring hall", which means that each member must work diligently to obtain each motion picture job. However,

the union does provide a stable footing of negotiated rates and is always available if contractual issues are encountered between its members and their employers. Local 479 looks to the future, to improve the working skills and hire rate for its members through continuing education courses provided free of charge (or with nominal fees). This page is one of several methods of delivering up-to-date information to our members; confidential information will only be sent via email and posted to password-protected sections of the Local's website.

Join us from 10am to 2pm at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church as the Local 479 DEI Committee and the Fulton County Board of Health combine forces to provide a "Back 2 School Bash" and Health Fair! The hard work of our reps and crew has paid off. Beast Games S3 / Momentum Showdowns LLC has officially recognized the IATSE as the bargaining agent for the crew.

This was only achieved through the hard work and relentlessness of our crew demanding to be recognized and standing together.

Local 479 will reach out to all crew once an agreement is in place. Thank you, Kin, we are so proud of you.
