A year ago, Gems in the Shadow was just an idea in a coffee shop.

Through consistency, passion, and the presence of everyone who has joined us, that idea has become a community. Each theme has offered lessons in personal growth, and we’ve grown right alongside you as we’ve held space for reflection, connection, and shared experiences.

As Gems continues to evolve, we’re excited to bring you new ideas and gather with you once again.

October Online Gathering: Uncovering Inner Gifts

This month, we’re exploring Wisdom Within and the parts of ourselves that may be waiting beneath the surface.

Through guided reflection, grounding practices, meaningful conversation, and community connection, we’ll create space to notice the strengths, wisdom, and inner gifts that can sometimes become hidden beneath old patterns, expectations, or experiences.

You do not need any experience with shadow work to join us. Come as you are, participate at your own pace, and spend an evening connecting more deeply with yourself and others in community.

Gems in the Shadow is entering a new chapter!

Over the past year, this community has grown and evolved through shared experiences, honest connection, and the space we create together. We are grateful for each of you.

We’ve been listening, and we hear you. More online spaces to connect. More opportunities for sacred ceremony.

We will gather in person for sacred ceremonies in November 2026, then January, April, July, and November 2027. These ceremonies will take the place of our monthly online gatherings during those months. All other regular monthly meetings will be online, beginning with October. More details are coming soon.

As this new format unfolds, we’ll continue listening to the needs of the group and growing alongside you. Thank you for helping shape what Gems is becoming.

This October at Gems in the Shadow, our theme is Uncovering Inner Gifts: Wisdom Within.

Sometimes our gifts are so familiar that we overlook them. They may live in our sensitivity, creativity, intuition, or the perspective we have gained through difficult chapters.

This month, we’re making space to recognize those quieter parts of ourselves. Through reflection and connection, we can begin to see what we carry with more compassion and trust.

When we met last, Kristen Stone walked us through our theme of grounding and presence within ourselves. 🌿

Connecting with how we feel first in a situation can gently bring us back into the present moment.

Learning to recognize what is ours.
Name it.
Feel it.
And not allow ourselves to run away with the feeling or the thought.

It was such a beautiful reminder—and one I’m grateful for as I prepared to walk the threshold of the Fall Equinox. 🍂✨

There is something powerful about creating that grounding within ourselves before stepping into the next season.

And today, I’m enjoying the simplest kind of nourishment:

Homemade tomato soup made with tomatoes harvested from my own garden. ❤️🍅

Grounded. Nourished. Present.

And grateful. ✨

My morning coffee has become a small grounding ritual. I add tinctures, collagen, nutrients, and adaptogens, then pause to bless the cup with intention and gratitude.

There is something comforting about beginning the day this way. A familiar moment to return to myself and appreciate how simple acts of care can become sacred.

The autumnal equinox invites a return to balance. As the lushness of summer softens into fall, I feel myself turning inward and welcoming the inspiration, warmth, and coziness of the season.
