Had so much fun today at Auburn University’s HDFS Internship & Professional Day! 😃

We loved connecting with so many students, talking about the counseling profession, and helping students explore where their interests and gifts might take them.

We love opportunities to encourage and invest in future helping professionals, and today was such a sweet opportunity to do just that!

Representing AQPC today were Clinical Counseling Intern Taylor Grace Joyner, Licensed Professional Counselor Kate Kim, and Founder Marina Krause!

Sometimes our nervous system responds before we even have time to think about what’s happening.

Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn—these are natural ways our nervous system can respond when we experience or sense stress, threat, or overwhelm.

And sometimes, understanding the why behind our reactions can be the first step toward responding with a little more compassion.

Whatever your “bear” looks like, you don’t have to navigate it perfectly. Learning to recognize your response can create space for something different. 🤍
