Oils for tea, YES PLEASE!

I love the added benefit of boosting my tea with a drop or two of an essential oil.

For a sore throat, I love adding either a drop of Lemon or On Guard (or both if you like) to some Manuka or raw honey and adding it to my tea. It is such a game-changer.

For a touch of mint, you can add in a drop of Peppermint and it can soothe an upset stomach.

If you are trying to detox or boost your metabolism Grapefruit is another favorite as well!

Are you ready for Back to School!? 📚👩‍🏫

Of course one of our biggest concerns as parents (and teachers, grandparents, etc) is staying healthy and strong as the kids go back to school. Here are some of the best ways to strengthen the immune system:

* Limit sugar. Sugar lowers immune function, increases inflammation, and can negatively affect blood sugar. None of these are good for our immune system. Send the kids to school with eggs, nitrate-free sausage, or apples + nut butter instead of sugar cereal, pancakes, orange juice, or other sugary choices for the best start to the day

* Get to bed on time. The most productive, healing sleep is what we get before midnight. So make sure you and the kids get to sleep early (I know, it's hard!). You can diffuse Lavender, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Peace, Calmer, etc. Kids 10+ can take a Serenity or Copaiba softgel as well.

* Diffuse On Guard, Stronger, Arborvitae, Frankincense, Tea Tree, Lemon, or any combo of these to support the immune system.

* Oil up of course! We like to do Stronger up and down the spine and On Guard on the bottom of both feet each morning before school/work.
