In a world of AI, filters, and heavily edited photos, unrealistic expectations for permanent makeup have become increasingly common. What is often overlooked is that every result is influenced by individual factors such as skin type, texture, tone, age, previous work, healing ability, and overall skin health.

Permanent makeup is both an art and a science, and no two canvases are ever the same. Over the years, my experience has taught me not only how to refine my craft, but also the importance of honest communication, proper education, and setting realistic expectations.

Sometimes professionalism means knowing when to say no—because protecting the integrity of the work and prioritizing what is truly best for the client will always come first.
