👂 Your Ear Canal Does More Than Carry Sound!
The ear canal is a small but important part of your hearing system. It funnels sound toward the eardrum and it has its own built-in cleaning and protection system: earwax!
🟠 Earwax (cerumen) is actually good for your ears. It helps:
• Trap dust, dirt, and debris
• Protect the delicate skin of the ear canal
• Keep the canal from becoming too dry
• Naturally move debris outward where it can fall away
That means a little earwax is normal and healthy.
The problem comes when wax builds up or becomes impacted. Too much can cause muffled hearing, fullness or pressure, discomfort, itching, and sometimes tinnitus.
🚫 And those cotton swabs? They can push wax deeper into the canal instead of removing it.
If your ears feel plugged, have them checked before trying to clean them yourself. Sometimes what feels like hearing loss is simply a wax blockage!
👂 Healthy ears. Better hearing. Better living.
