Working or playing outside in this heat? Here’s a quick tip: Ice towels! Keep some of those in a cooler close by, use them to cool off by putting. Them on the back of your neck, head, and chest. This will help to cool you down. And DRINK WATER! Please!

Ugh, this heat! Here’s something important to remember, the elderly are highly susceptible to heat illness, so please check on your loved ones during this heat wave.

Did you know that heat can affect your mental health? High temperatures can cause irritability, trouble concentrating, depression, and anger.

If you are working in a hot environment, make sure to take care of your people too! Provide water, otter pops, electrolytes, and such, and make sure they get breaks. Make a water bottle part of the uniform!

When it comes to exercising outdoors in this heat, always shoot for early morning or later afternoon when the temperature drops to a safer degree! (I have actually witnessed people pass out while they’re riding a bike or jogging at high noon.)

Inspire Hike Day Tip: it’s HOT! The earlier you can get on the trail the better you can avoid heat illness. And always bring lots of water!
