🐾🌏WORLD RABIES DAY, SEPTEMBER 28🐾🌏

World rabies day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about rabies and the importance of prevention.

🦠What is rabies ????
Rabies is a virus that affects the nervous system and is fatal once clinical signs appear, but rabies is preventable.

🐶🐱How can pets get rabies ???
Rabies is most commonly spread through the saliva of an infected animal, usually through a bite or scratch. Rabies can affect ALL MAMMALS. Yes, that includes us, your dog, or your indoor only cat. Your pet does not have to be an outdoor adventurer to be at risk. Every mammal is at risk of contracting rabies. Wildlife can carry rabies and unexpected encounters can happen out on a walk or even in your home.

💉Why is the rabies vaccine so important ???
Not only is the rabies vaccine required by law but it is one of the easiest ways to protect your pet, yourself, your family, and your community. Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment for rabies.

Rabies prevention is a team effort. Keeping your pet up to date on their rabies vaccination helps protect more than just the animal sitting beside you and your family, it helps protect the entire community.

📞Contact us to get your pet up to date on their rabies vaccine!
