Hormones are chemicals in our body that communicate with our cells, brain, etc to maintain balance in our highly precise machine of our body.

Hormones in our body can call out for a WHITE flags 🏳️ to communicate that things are not working as well as our body would like (these can cause NO symptoms to symptoms of FATIGUE, TROUBLE SLEEPING, POOR ATTENTION, FOCUS, ALTERED MOOD).

I see many people who don’t understand this signal and continue to go along their busy lives day by day which leads to WEEKS, MONTHS and YEARS of this WHITE flag 🏳️ being waived without proper management.

When I tell people I work as a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner and work in helping people identify causes for hormone imbalances and inflammation (ie allergies, gut, and thyroid issues), they tell me they’ve been worried about these issues for themselves too.

I wonder why they haven’t worked with someone to check their hormones and health status?

They say “I’m too busy” 😳

BUSY can drive hormonal changes to worsen which then can change 🏳️ into RED FLAGS 🚩 (ie liver and kidney dysfunction, skin changes like acne, eczema, psoriasis; diabetes, high blood pressure, worsening fatigue, depression, anxiety, even CANCER).

Not sure if your body is waving WHITE FLAGS 🏳️ or RED FLAGS 🚩 ?

Find time to tune into what your body is saying and work with a board certified expert like me to translate and explain what your body is saying and provide guidance on how to help your body work better.

Wanna find out more about this amazing resource that is available to you?

Comment the word FLAGS and I’ll connect with you to get you set up with a personalized consult.

Stop making excuses of being kinda busy. Prioritize your SELF and your HEALTH
Don’t wait for more RED FLAGS 🚩

According to the CDC, 6 out of 10 people in the US have chronic disease.

I was diagnosed with chronic disease since 10 years old. Because of this, I also had hormonal imbalances, low mood and poor focus during my childhood into my adult life. I saw doctors for YEARS and was never told how to get better, only to cover up symptoms with medications.

I learned how to heal myself through my education in holistic healing plus as a board certified nurse practitioner.

Are you living life currently with chronic disease (includes asthma, allergies, eczema, prediabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol)?

Do you want to enjoy life, be able to do the things you love without being limited or debilitated?

Don’t waste time with conventional medicine.

Get an assessment of your current health status, find out a longterm health plan, and reduce disease so you can live your life BETTER!

If this is what you’re looking for, message the word HOLISTIC, and I’ll get you started with a personalized health assessment.

Corrine Arles, LPC and I sat down to have a conversation about a group of people we like to help in particular: women going through peri, menopause and post menopause
The Three Stages of the Transition:
1) Perimenopause: The pre-menopause
phase where ovaries gradually produce less estrogen. Hormonal fluctuations cause erratic periods and common symptoms like hot flashes and mood changes.
2) Menopause: This is reached when you
haven’t had a period for 12 months in a row.
The average age of menopause is 51.
3) Postmenopause: The years following
menopause. During this time, while most symptoms ease, lower estrogen levels increase the long-term risk of conditions like osteoporosis and heart disease.

Key Symptoms are caused by dropping and fluctuating estrogen and progesterone levels.
Every person’s experience is unique, but common signs include:
- Vasomotor Symptoms, AKA Hot flashes (sudden waves of body heat) and night sweats affect a large majority of women.
- Menstrual Changes: Cycles may become
heavier, lighter, shorter, longer, or skipped altogether.
- Cognitive & Emotional: “Brain fog,”
memory issues, mood swings, irritability, and - Physical & Sexual: Sleep disturbances
(insomnia), vaginal dryness, weight gain, and joint or muscle aches.
Causes: For most, the transition is a natural biological process, and the age it begins is as dictated by genetics
BUT It can happen earlier due to autoimmune disorders, chronic stress and inflammation (ie sleeping less than 8hrs/night, smoking/vaping, lacking nutrients from food, sunshine, oxygen).
