Would you carry a baby for someone else? It’s a question that most of us never think to ask… I’m grateful my Aunt asked it.

I remember being really little and my Mother showing me and my triplet siblings three little eggs and trying to explain to us the unique way in which we got here, and always growing up knowing that my Aunt birthed me (even thought I didn’t know what that meant until much later in life 😊).

Her selflessness and connection with my Mom’s struggle to have children led to me being alive and getting the gift to walk around, talk, breath, and be a human ❤️ My mom always says “you wouldn’t have gotten here without her”

This was a really special and deep conversation I was blessed to have with my Aunt & Mom about sisterhood, parenthood, and devotion.

I felt compelled to share their journey after hearing so many heartbreaking stories of women struggling with infertility. No matter what your journey is with children, I feel so grateful that my parents didn’t give up and brought me here, because I love being alive ❤️.

My Mom and Aunt (my birth mother) agreed to come on the show to tell our birth story, and I learned so much more about my creation through the process of asking them questions.

Highly recommend interviewing your parents and recording it no matter what your relationship is, I’m so grateful to have this episode.

My Mom tried to get pregnant for seven years and faced intense hardship and heartbreak through her journey.

My Aunt Barb had just had two kids of her own, and offered her body, time, emotions, and everything that comes with pregnancy to carry me as a surrogate for my parents.

The miraculous and unexpected part of this is that at the same time my Aunt Barb got pregnant through IVF, the very same day, my Mom ALSO did IVF. All of our embryos we’re made in the same Petri dish, and we were conceived at the same time 😊

So after 6 lost pregnancies, 7 years of infertility, my parents got to bring home triplets.

Share this with anyone you think could benefit from hearing it, comment MOM below and we’ll DM you the whole episode.

Every living thing on Earth is connected by a massive underground network of mycelium.
With every step we take, we are walking over a system that actually speaks to us if we listen. ✨

Shoutout to modernbiology for giving plants & fungi a voice! 🎙️

Mushrooms are nature’s great experiment in creativity. With millions of fungal species estimated to exist, they appear in an astonishing variety of shapes, colors, and textures - Some resembling coral reefs, tiny umbrellas, delicate flowers, or even stars.

Beneath their beauty lies a hidden purpose. They recycle forests, nourish ecosystems, and connect entire landscapes through vast underground networks.

Strange and fascinating, mushrooms remind us that some of nature’s greatest wonders are found in the most unexpected forms. 🍄

Microdo$ing is on the rise, but policy reform is still lagging behind.

Today, you can walk into many corner stores in Manhattan and find products being marketed as “magic mu$hrooms.”

The problem? These products are often unregulated, may contain harmful additives, and frequently lack reliable testing to verify what's actually inside.

The number of people using microdo$ing to support their mental health, creativity, and overall well-being has more than doubled over the past two years. Yet the policies needed to ensure safe, accessible, and regulated access haven't kept pace.

For those who know where to look, trusted sources do exist. But that represents only a small portion of consumers. Most people are left navigating an unregulated underground market, where quality, safety, and transparency can vary widely.

This growing gap between consumer demand and public policy highlights the need for education, regulation, and safer pathways to access.

is focused on education and policy to help increase safe access to this practice that has so much potential

Why is federal approval for psych*del!c medicine taking so long? 🏛️⚖️

One of the defining tensions in the U.S. is that while federal approval pathways can take years to unfold, people are in need of support now.

In this episode, Joshua Kappel () explores how policy, alongside research, shapes who gets access to care and when. We dive into:

🪐 The Federal Bottleneck: Why moving substances like MDM@ through traditional pharmaceutical pathways is often a years-long process.
🪐 State-Level Action: How states are creating new models for access while federal systems continue to evolve.
🪐 Legal Protections: The role of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in protecting psych*del!c churches.

As interest in psych*del!c care continues to grow, so do the questions around access, regulation, and responsibility. We explore all of this and more in our conversation with Joshua.

"Mu$hroom$ are some of the only medicine to truly stand the test of time. Otzi and I would have been friends I think…

The ancient wisdom of functional, non-p$ychoactive mu$hrooms is undeniable with this evidence uncovering Otzi’s body and what he was fossilized with.

This is the oldest direct evidence we have of a human carry fungi for functional use. And it’s a big deal 🍄, because it gives direct evidence to the original use of fungi as medicine.

Mu$hrooms are making their way into mainstream western culture, but they’re really just making their way BACK into the human diet and medicine cabinet. Comment ‘otzi’ below for a link to more research."

"One habit that quietly changed everything 💭
Something very different begins to happen in relationships when you stop speaking to people’s wounds and start speaking to their light. Every person carries many inner parts. There is pain, fear, defensiveness and old wounds that sometimes show up in the way someone talks to us or behaves around us. But underneath all of that there is also something else. A quiet inner clarity. A deeper kindness. A place that remembers who they are beyond their pain.

When we react only to the wounded part in someone, the conversation usually stays there. Pain meets pain, defense meets defense, and the interaction becomes heavier. But when we consciously address the clearer, brighter part in another person, something subtle shifts. That place inside them feels recognized. And it becomes much easier for them to respond from there.

People often grow into the way they are seen. And sometimes one of the most powerful things we can do in this world is to speak to the light in someone, even when their wounds are the loudest thing in the room."

A published study comparing different substances found that alcohol ranked as the most harmful overall, while psil0cyb!n was considered among the least harmful. In a global survey of over 120,000 people who used psil0cyb!n, only 0.2% reported needing emergency medical treatment.

Meanwhile, alcohol is known to be highly pro-inflammatory: increasing markers like CRP, TNF-alpha, and IL-6, all of which are linked to depression, cognitive decline, and chronic disease. Long-term alcohol use has also been connected to both gut and brain inflammation.

Yet alcohol remains one of the most socially accepted and widely used substances in the world, while psil0cyb!n is still illegal in many places.

Why is that? 🍄

Access to safe and legal psych-del!c medicine is still out of reach for many people, which is why policy decisions matter so deeply. They shape who can access care and what the future of treatment looks like.

In this episode with Joshua Kappel, , we explore how psych-del!c policy is rapidly evolving across the U.S., from underground use to emerging regulatory frameworks, and what it takes to build systems that actually reflect real-world healing.

We also ask one of our favorite questions: What’s the most important lesson psych-del!cs have taught you? 🍄
