We are so happy to announce an amazing opportunity for these disability puppets to be brought back to life! Many many years ago Mower Council for the handicapped purchased these puppets from Pacer and used them to educate children on disabilities and disability inclusion. Unfortunately the program didn’t have volunteers to keep it operating so the puppets sat and collected dust and were always a point of conversation when people toured our office. Taking over as the Executive Director I found such value in this program and wanted to find a way to get it up and running in one form or another! I love the arts so I reached out to our friends at Matchbox Children's Theatre of Austin MN to see if they would be interested in receiving these puppets as a donation for the children to learn puppeteering and use the existing script to perform and educate on disabilities and inclusion! They are so excited for this wonderful donation and got them to local Puppeteer Jim Jayes, he is helping to restore them and is excited about teaching puppeteering to the children!

Now we had a hoyer lift, a pediatric medical bed, stand assist, sliding shower bench, shower bench, portable suction machine with case. See attached pictures of these items. Good morning everyone! I have received a couple of amazing calls already this morning from people who would like to donate some bigger items to people who may be in need completely free of charge. The first item is a nice hospital bed, which also has bar lifts. I will post a picture when I receive it. The second item is a chair lift for stairs. This item is currently installed in a house and works. They are selling the house and need it removed. If you or anyone you know could use these items please contact Melissa at the Mower Council for the Handicapped. We would love to find new homes for the items and are so grateful for people who make these donations to help others. Great day to be grateful! 507-433-9609.
