Seeking Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Qualifications

KM/BeYoutiful Anti-Aging Studio is a growing upscale medical aesthetics studio seeking an experienced medical Aesthetician to join our team. Candidates will be passionate about the aesthetic field, have a strong work ethic, and has inherent professionalism in both demeanor and presence. You must be a team member who is reliable, engaging, and able to maintain a consistent and strong relationship with patients. Skills include learning about our skincare line and treatments in order to properly assess and educate patients on the best treatment for their concerns

This person will need to uphold the highest level of customer service and add to our friendly warm environment. They will be able to educate patients on treatments, products available, coordinate treatment plans, and provide continuous follow-up to ensure every patient’s satisfaction. Candidate MUST have a vast knowledge and experience of skincare products, experience treatments including but not limited to facials, HydraFacial’s, chemical peels, skincare, and lasers. We prefer an applicant who has a long-standing clientele and will be invested in contributing to the growth of the practice.

Outgoing, well-spoken & excellent customer service skills and strong follow up skills (i.e. making follow up calls to patients)

Work effectively in a team environment
Must have intermediate computer skills, familiar with Word excel, aesthetic software
Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
Self-motivated and approach tasks with a positive, proactive, demeanor
Organized, detail and goal-oriented

Laser Hair Removal Apprentice-In-Training Application Now Available Online

Initial laser hair removal apprentice-in-training applications may now be submitted online. Applicants will be able to upload the required 40-hour training certificate at the time of application and pay the application fee via credit card.

Applying online will speed up the application processing time and, in most cases, complete applications can be approved within two business days of the date of submission. If you experience an issue with submitting your laser hair removal apprentice-in-training application, please notify us at [email protected].

Here are the steps for completing the process:

Complete an approved 40-hour laser hair removal training program.
Create an online account and complete the online application.
Upload your 40-hour laser hair removal training certificate when instructed to do so during the online application process.
Pay the application fee when instructed to do so during the online application process.
Successfully pass a criminal history background check. The Criminal History Questionnaire must be completed and uploaded to your online application if you have a criminal conviction. If you would like TDLR to review your criminal background prior to submitting an application, please visit the Criminal History Evaluation Letter page for more information.
TDLR is working quickly to get laser hair removal technician, senior laser hair removal technician, and laser hair removal professional upgrade applications online as well.

Updates to Governor's Executive Order: Massage Establishments and Laser Hair Removal Establishments May Reopen Immediately Except in Deaf Smith, El Paso, Moore, Potter, and Randall Counties

MAY 18, 2020

Under the Executive Order GA-23 issued by Gov. Greg Abbott on May 18, laser hair removal establishments, massage therapy establishments, massage schools, and other places where massage therapists may practice their trade may reopen immediately, except in Deaf Smith, El Paso, Moore, Potter, and Randall counties. (These activities may resume in those counties on May 29.)

Re-opened laser hair removal establishments and places offering massage therapy must ensure at least six feet of social distancing between operating workstations. Please note that all massage therapists and laser hair removal technicians should follow these health guidelines (PDF).

TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING & REGULATION
Attorney General Issues Guidance Re: Barbershop, Cosmetology Salon, Nail Salon, Esthetician Salon, Massage Establishment and Laser Hair Establishments Closures

Yesterday, the Texas Attorney General's Office released a guidance letter to address questions relating to Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA-18. Barbershops, cosmetology salons (including nail and esthetician), massage establishments, and laser hair establishments must remain closed until further notice. The Governor's order overrides conflicting local and county orders.
