Got burned? Here’s what works:
Cool it. Run cold water over the burn for 10-20 minutes. This stops the heat from going deeper and reduces pain.
Remove. Take off jewelry, tight clothes, anything that could restrict swelling.
Cover it. Loose bandage or clean cloth. Protects from infection.
See a doctor if: Burn is larger than your palm, on your face, hands, or joints, or blistering.
Never use ice, butter, or ointment. Just cold water and time.
Most burns are preventable. CPR + First Aid training means you know the difference between “I got this” and “Call 911.”
