ASOPRS 2026 Spring Scientific Meeting Highlights

Sean M. Blaydon, Dr. Vikram D. Durairaj, and Dr. Kendall Goodyear participated in the ASOPRS 2026 Spring Scientific Meeting held in Sedona, Arizona. This outstanding conference provided TOC Eye and Face with a platform to showcase innovative surgical techniques while fostering collaboration with surgeons from across the nation and around the world.

Dr. Duncan will be joining TOC for two years as she undergoes her ASOPRS Fellowship training in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery. In her second year, she will also complete an AACS Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

AACS Match Day! We are excited to announce that Dr. Preston Choi is our 2027 AACS Fellow. TOC offers a one-year AACS Certified Facial Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship. The residency program involves advanced education and training in the art of facial cosmetic surgery, under Program Director: Dr. Tanuj Nakra.
Dr. Nakra and his partners perform the full spectrum of facial cosmetic surgeries with emphasis on blepharoplasty, fat transfer, and facelifts. There is a special practice interest in revision surgery, including revision blepharoplasty, revision facelifts, and revision rhinoplasty.

Dr. Tanuj Nakra’s patient had one request, “Please make sure I look natural!”
Her personalized treatment plan was customized to give her the refreshed, natural results she requested.
Treatment Plan:
▪️Upper Blepharoplasty (with ptosis correction)
▪️Transposition Lower Blepharoplasty (preserving fat)
▪️Endoscopic Forehead Lift

Our patient is just six weeks post-op, and she already looks stunning. Her results look natural (as promised) not “overdone”. She will continue to heal in the next few months as she completes her surgical journey with us. We are honored she selected TOC for her care.

Additionally, Dr. Durairaj acted as a mentor during the Career Guidance Brunch on Sunday, where he addressed various topics and responded to questions from attendees.

Dr. Remi Flor served as the course director for the always popular Live Neurotoxin Wet Lab on both Saturday and Sunday.

✨ YoungMD Connect (YMDC)is a mentorship and educational platform designed to connect aspiring and young ophthalmologists with their peers and mentors. Launched in January 2021, the platform has grown to serve a community of 1,000 members and has provided over 200 hours of mentorship and educational resources.

Resharing Dr. Donovan Reed's Instagram Post!
Dr. Reed was honored to serve as the Oculoplastic Director for the 2026 Ocular Trauma Course at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He was grateful for the opportunity to teach alongside so many outstanding colleagues and help train the next generation of ophthalmologists in oculofacial trauma and burn care.
Dr. Reed mentioned that "What made the experience even more special was getting to learn again from my fellowship director/mentor and keynote speaker, . Full circle moments like these are a reminder of how important mentorship and education are in our field."
