Turns out "chic" looks a lot like showing up for work you believe in, decade after decade. 💛

Two new books this year alone, adding to a career spent teaching people how to actually understand their own nervous systems. Some things are worth celebrating that most people forget.

Sometimes the whispers tell us to move forward. Sometimes they tell us it's time to rest. 💙

That's where I find myself right now—and I'm sharing a little more about it in today's newsletter.

I love having this little space to stay connected with you. If you'd like to receive my notes, thoughts, book updates, and whatever comes next, you can join my newsletter through the link in my bio.

And in the meantime, I'd love to hear from you. What are you up to these days? If you've read Beautiful Brain Beautiful Life or In the Whispers, I'd especially love to know what stayed with you. ✨

One opening led to another…and I kept saying yes. 💙

I traveled, taught alongside incredible doctors, taught on my own, and sometimes stepped into things without knowing exactly how they would turn out. In many ways, my life was an experiment—following each new opening to see where it might lead.

I chose the road less traveled, and it made all the difference.

This little passage from *In the Whispers* has me wondering: **What's making a difference in your life right now?** ✨

Publishing a book can feel a little like throwing a big party and waiting to see who shows up. 💙

This year, I released TWO—*Beautiful Brain Beautiful Life* and *In the Whispers*—and more than anything, I want to know what you think.

Read them. Share them. Leave an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads. But most importantly, TALK TO ME.

Tell me what made you think, what you felt, and what stayed with you. That's why I put these stories and ideas out into the world in the first place. 💙📚

Once upon a time… I wrote a book about my life. 💙

Writing *In the Whispers* was a lot of work, a lot of revelation, and, in many ways, a lot of healing.

The stories are mine, but the themes are universal. Your circumstances may look different, but the love, loss, choices, unexpected turns, and little moments that shape a life are something we all share.

My hope is that somewhere within my story, you find a little courage and inspiration for your own.

Read it. Share it with someone you think may need it. And when you're finished, please message us or email me—I truly want to hear what stayed with you, what you felt, and what you discovered within your own story. ✨

13 seasons. 206 games. More hits than he can count. For Steve Wisniewski, the hardest fight started after football ended—chronic pain, mental fog, and wounds medicine couldn’t reach.

In *In the Whispers*, that story meets something rarer than a comeback: hope that healing can arrive quietly. This book isn’t only Dr. Books’ journey—it’s for anyone living with invisible wounds—and anyone who’s been told to “just push through.”

If you’ve been waiting for a dramatic breakthrough, this is your reminder: sometimes the whisper is enough.

Some books teach.

Some books tell a story.

And every now and then, a book asks you to slow down, reflect, and remember.

That was my hope for In the Whispers.

It's an honor to finally hold it in my hands—and an even greater honor to share it with you. 💙

Real results. Lasting change.

Based on neuroscience and grounded in biology, Books Neural Therapy® works with the body's own intelligence to restore communication, resolve interference, and unlock the capacity that was there all along. As the brain and body move out of survival mode and back toward balance, meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.

The greatest reward isn't seeing change during the program—it's hearing from families years later that those changes are still shaping their lives. 💙
