Mental health care starts with trust, compassion, and meeting patients where they are.
A recent story from Direct Relief highlights how Dallas-area charitable clinics are helping break the stigma around mental health by creating safe, community-centered spaces for care. Clinics are expanding counseling services, increasing telehealth access, and building stronger relationships with patients who may have never felt comfortable seeking support before.
TXACC is proud to see several of our member clinics recognized for the life-changing work they do every day. Brother Bill's Helping Hand, Agape Clinic, and Mercy Clinic of Fort Worth are among the organizations leading efforts to improve access to behavioral health services and reduce stigma in their communities. Their work reflects the power of compassionate, patient-centered care and strong community partnerships.
Thank you to Direct Relief, National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC), and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. for continuing to support mental health care access for underserved communities across Texas and beyond.
