The plan was to build my own physical therapy practice one day. And even in the dream, I just assumed insurance would still be calling the shots on how I treated people. That’s genuinely how I thought it worked.

Then I found Concierge Orthopedics, and the thing I’d given myself five years to build, I’m already living it.

I see fewer patients a week than I ever have. I make more than I ever have. And the part that actually changed everything: I’m not running someone through a set number of visits because a script says so. I build the plan of care around what the patient actually needs. Real medical necessity, not a billing code.

When I left school I thought the job was to accept whatever I was offered and be grateful for it. I never once asked if it was the right move for me. If it would leave me with anything left to give.

That’s the question the clinic never wants you to ask.

I get to ask it now. And I get to answer it on my own terms.

If that’s the kind of practice you want to be part of, comment TEAM and we’ll send you a link to book a consult call to see if you’d be a good fit with us.

The things they don’t teach you in PT school: mastering the art of small talk and remembering everyone’s weekend plans… the best part is, at concierge, we get one on one time with patients and these interactions are why we do the job 💚

Sometimes, the way we practice can make us forget why we chose the profession in the first place.

Cash-based PT has given me the time, autonomy, and support to truly focus on the person in front of me—not insurance limitations. I’m able to think critically, create individualized plans of care, and spend more time helping patients reach goals that actually matter to them.

Working at Concierge Orthopedics reminded me that PT can be exactly what I always hoped it would be. 🤍

If you’re a PT feeling burnt out and tired of feeling tired, maybe it’s time to rethink the way you practice.

And we’re not just talking about your knee. 💪🏼

Your pain is the symptom. The goal is to understand the whole picture.
When we evaluate an orthopedic condition, we don’t just focus on the spot that hurts. We look at how you move, how you load your body, where you may be compensating, and what factors could be contributing to your symptoms.
Because better care starts with a better understanding of why you hurt—not just where. 🤝
This is what personalized orthopedic care looks like.

Starting physical therapy school is exciting, challenging, and sometimes overwhelming. If you’re heading into your first semester, here are a few things we want you to remember:

1. Take a breath.
You don’t need to know everything right away. PT school is a learning process, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time.

2. Be open-minded.
You may enter PT school thinking you know exactly what area of physical therapy you want to pursue. Stay curious and give every course, clinical experience, and patient an opportunity to teach you something new.

3. Your grades don’t define you.
Grades are one measure of academic performance, but they don’t determine the kind of clinician you will become. Your communication, clinical reasoning, compassion, adaptability, and ability to connect with patients matter, too.

And remember: comparison is the thief of joy. Everyone’s PT school journey looks different. Focus on your own growth, celebrate your progress, and give yourself grace along the way.

Save this post for the days you need the reminder, and tag a PT student who could use it!

As school and sports ramp back up, it's easy for young athletes to rush through exercises without understanding the point. We make sure both the athlete AND the parent know the "why" — because understanding the plan is what actually prevents the next setback. 🏃‍♀️🏈

Just found out you’ve got a torn meniscus? Don’t panic, and don’t book the OR just yet.

For a lot of tears, especially the degenerative kind, the current clinical guidelines actually put physical therapy first, not surgery. For many people, rehab gets the same outcomes without ever going under the knife.

Here’s what actually moves the needle for your knee.

Movement beats rest. Progressive strengthening rebuilds the joint. Rest alone won’t.

Don’t skip your hips. Strong hips mean better knee mechanics. Half the battle at the knee is won above it.

Respect the timeline. Healing isn’t linear or fast, but showing up consistently is what turns “managing it” into “I forgot I ever had it.”

And know when surgery really is the answer. A knee that truly locks, or milestones you can’t hit with solid rehab, earns that conversation. Good care isn’t anti surgery. It’s surgery when you actually need it, not by default.

Picture yourself six months from now, back to everything you love, because you followed a plan instead of waiting on a surgery date you might not even need.

Comment “KNEE” and we’ll connect you with a provider near you who can build the plan that gets your pain under control.
