Applying to healthcare administrative fellowships? 👀

Here’s what the interview process can actually look like…

📩 21 applications
☕️ Potentially a couple coffee chats
📞 6 first-round interviews
👩‍💻 Potentially video panel interviews
🏥 1 onsite interview
👥 10 executive interviews at ONE hospital

Yes, 10 interviews at one health system….

You might start with dozens or even hundreds of applicants, but each round narrows the pool. Some programs move from 70+ candidates in the first round to fewer than 10 finalists for onsite interviews.

And once you make it onsite? You could be interviewing with multiple executives, preceptors, and current fellows at the same organization.

If you’re struggling with Round 1 or preparing for Round 2, don’t count yourself out. Your interview strategy matters, and I’m happy to help! 🧡 Comment FELLOWSHIP, what you’re experience has been like, or send me a DM

I wasn’t going to post this on Insta but there were a lot of hot takes on TikTok so would love to know all your thoughts!

If you’re applying to healthcare administrative fellowships, know the numbers before you apply. 🏥

Historical NCAF data found ~70 applications per fellowship position…so fellowships are competitive, but a fellowship is not the only way to start a career in healthcare administration. Build experience, skills, and a strategy that gives you multiple paths forward.

If you’re struggling with fellowship applications right now or planning to apply in Round 2, I’m happy to help. Save this if you’re applying for fellowships this year, comment below where you’re stuck or message me directly!

Remeber….you get to choose your career patients don’t get to choose to be sick. Whether you choose to work on the clincal or administrative side make sure you keep your “why” in mind😃

Trying to land a remote job? 👀

Remote roles are competitive, so applying to more jobs isn’t always the answer. Focus on targeting the right roles, tailoring your resume, and networking strategically.

Save this for your next job search! 💻

If you work in healthcare, conferences are about WAY more than sitting in sessions.

I went to the Texas Hospital Association conference this year, and it reminded me why I think conferences can be such a valuable part of your career.

You can:
→ Learn what’s happening across the industry
→ Meet people outside your organization
→ Discover companies + technologies you may not know about
→ Find mentors and potential collaborators
→ Build your professional network
→ Get ideas you can actually bring back to your organization
→ And yes… sometimes find your next opportunity 👀

And you do not have to be a senior leader to benefit from going.

If you’re a student or early-career professional, start looking at conferences in the areas you’re interested in and see what your organization, school, or professional association offers.

Save this for the next time you’re deciding whether a conference is “worth it.”

And send it to someone who needs to start getting themselves in the room. 👏

Fellowship & internship season is HARD right now👀

If you’ve applied to 10+ programs and aren’t hearing back, please don’t automatically assume you’re not qualified. Sometimes it comes down to positioning, strategy, networking, and knowing how to tell your story.

I’ve been on both sides of the process, and I’m happy to help healthcare tudents + early-career protessionals navigate it🤝

Comment “FELLOWSHIP” or
“INTERNSHIP” if you’re applying this season!!

Happy Monday! 🌻

My friends and I had a painting night this weekend, and I don’t usually use this kind of language… but I thought this one was pretty fitting.

Working in healthcare isn’t always easy. Some days are exhausting. Some days test your patience. But it’s also one of the most meaningful careers there is.

Whether you’re caring for patients directly or supporting the people and systems behind the scenes, your work matters. Every improvement you make, every problem you solve, and every person you help creates a ripple effect.

So this is your Monday reminder:
💙 Take care of yourself.
💙 Give yourself grace.
💙 Remember that you’re making a difference, even when it doesn’t feel like it.

And as Grey’s Anatomy says…

“It’s a beautiful day to save lives!”
