Today we visited my mom. 💜

We arrived carrying some of her favorite things. carrot cake, fresh orange juice & of course Soul, her sweeeeeet dog who is now becoming mine.

Even the familiar tastes didn’t taste the same to her today.

There is something profound about dementia. watching the familiar become unfamiliar, while love somehow continues to find a way through.

It wasn’t an easy visit. She wanted to leave with us & there are moments when the heart aches because you cannot give someone what they are asking for.

You can only stay close, hold their hand, meet them where they are & trust the care surrounding them.

Thank you to my beautiful cousin Zohar Oron for being by my side today & bringing so much tenderness to my mom.

And then there was Soul… climbing into her arms, covering his mama in kisses.

No explanations. No convincing. No need to remember anything.

Just the medicine of a dog’s love, touch, warmth, recognition & pure HEART 🐾💜

Sometimes medicine has four paws.

My mom is back in the hospital.

This chapter with her continues to ask so much of both of us ~ surrender, patience, presence & a kind of love that doesn’t always come in the forms we expect.

Yesterday was incredibly difficult. She was frightened, angry & wanting to escape the very place that is trying to help her heal.

Today, I walked into a completely different space.

She was calm, soft & peaceful. Mostly wanting to sleep. The resistance had quieted & in its place I felt a beautiful surrender… an ease in her that I haven’t witnessed in a very long time.

I found myself simply sitting beside her, touching her hair, grateful to be there.

There are moments in life when there is nothing left to fix or control. We are simply invited to love the person in front of us exactly where they are.

Today was one of those moments.

Grateful for this precious time with my mamaShakti 💜

From Sunday to Wednesday, time stood still.

What began as a move to a beautiful new chapter at Nof Tivon unexpectedly became four days in the hospital in Haifa. We arrived at the emergency room on Sunday, hoping for answers. By Wednesday, holding these discharge papers in my hands felt like holding an eternity.

During her stay, my mom was evaluated by the geriatric team & diagnosed as תשושת נפש (advanced dementia), meaning the plan for her to live at Nof Tivon is no longer the right fit for the level of care she now needs.

Dementia is a heartbreaking illness. It changes memory, perception, emotions, personality & reality itself.

There are moments that are impossible to understand unless you’ve walked this path beside someone you love.

As I prepare to travel to the United States for work commitments that have been in place for many months, our family has found the most loving solution.

My incredible cousins, Yarden & Asher, have opened their home & their hearts to my mom. Together with their 3 beautiful children, they are surrounding her with unconditional love, patience, joy, & the family connection that I pray is exactly what her Soul needs.

Mom, we love you beyond words.

To my family & soul family around the world… thank you. Thank you for every message, every prayer, every healing intention, every comment & every ounce of love you wrapped around us.

I truly don’t know how I would have moved through these days in the hospital without feeling your support.

Amen! AHO! 🦅🦅

We closed the door to the place that had held so many years of her life, filled the car with memories, & drove north toward what we believed would be the beginning of a gentle new chapter at Nof Tivon.

We imagined settling into her new room.
Meeting new friends.
Finding a new rhythm.

Instead, within hours of arriving, everything changed.

My mom became very ill & we needed to go to Bnai Zion Hospital, where we’ve been ever since.

She has been diagnosed with a lung infection, & these past days have brought moments that have stretched my heart beyond words.

And yet…

Love has a way of finding us, even here.

In a smile that appears between difficult moments.
In a hand that still reaches for mine.
In the extraordinary kindness of doctors, nurses, & caregivers who have dedicated their lives to caring for others.

Today, my prayer is this…

May healing find its way to every corner of my mother’s body.

May peace be stronger than fear.

May we remember that even when life changes in a single moment, love never leaves us.

Mom, wherever this journey takes us, you will never walk it alone.

Some walks quietly change your life forever.

I held my mom’s hand as we toured a higher level care home. Dementia has slowly changed our path, asking us to love in new ways, let go with grace, & trust others to help care for the one who has always cared for me.

My heart is breaking & expanding at the same time.

One step. One breath. One hand holding another.

Walking into a new chapter together.

Some love stories speak for themselves. ☀️

For the past 2 weeks, my mom’s beloved, now 90 years old, has been in the hospital. Every day, I invited her into meditation to see him healthy, strong & fully recovered.

Today, we visited him at the rehabilitation center. My mom shared that she had been dreaming of him & holding him in meditation.

He smiled & said, “I know. I heard you speaking to me… in the other realms.”

To me, this is the language of love, a sacred connection that transcends space, time & even the unseen mystery.

Is there someone in your life who could use your love today? Close your eyes for a few moments & hold them in your heart. Love travels farther than we can imagine.…

I like the theater metaphor. Here’s a more refined version:

Many moons ago, he was my boyfriend while I was serving in the army.

Since then, we’ve somehow managed to keep appearing in each other’s story in the most unexpected scenes—outside a nightclub in Los Angeles years ago & now at Ben Gurion Airport.

Me ✈️ Germany.
Him ✈️ Prague.

No plans. No coordination.

Just another reminder that Spirit may be the greatest director of all, with impeccable timing & a flair for unexpected entrances.

Some friendships don’t require a daily role to remain part of the story.

Safe travels, old friend

Deep gratitude to Karina, one of Israel’s leading curators of fashion, lifestyle & community experiences, for a truly inspiring conversation.

Among the many insights she shared, one resonated deeply:

The importance of bringing Dance of Liberation® to more people throughout Israel.

For nearly three decades, Dance of Liberation® has been my soul’s work, a living prayer expressed through movement, authentic connection, community & the wisdom held within the body.

There was something powerful about hearing this reflection from a woman whose gift is recognizing what has the capacity to touch lives & create meaningful impact.

Thank you, Karina, for your wisdom, generosity of Spirit & encouragement. And thank you Adar Yarom for your incredible support & works too!

As a gesture of gratitude, I gifted her a bundle of Sage to BLESS her dreams in action!

I surprised my Mom with an evening at Priscilla, Queen of the Desert & from the opening number I was dancing in my seat

What a spectacular production.

The music, costumes, choreography, humor, heart & sheer brilliance of the cast had me completely captivated.

Every scene felt bigger, brighter & more alive than the one before it. I found myself wanting to jump on stage & join the celebration.

The surprise was complete. My Mom had absolutely no idea where we were going, which made watching her delight unfold throughout the evening one of my favorite parts of the experience!

To make the night even more special, we weren’t simply seated in the first row. We were in an exclusive front-row lounge area with tables & wine service, feeling completely immersed in the magic, music & movement.

As someone whose life revolves around dance, embodiment & the celebration of authentic expression, this production was pure joy.

It is a radiant reminder that life is meant to be lived fully, boldly & unapologetically ~ especially during times of uncertainty here in Israel, when the realities of war can so easily pull us away from such experiences. For a few precious hours, we were invited to laugh, celebrate, sing, dance in our seats & remember the BEST in the human Spirit.

I laughed, I teared up, I danced in my seat, & I left inspired.

Bravo to the entire cast, musicians, dancers & creative team for delivering a world-class performance that sparkled from beginning to end.

& a special thank you to , who practically made it “mandatory” that we go. You were absolutely right. What I thought would be a wonderful night at the theater became a beautiful memory with my mom that I will treasure for years to come.
