🌿 Cannabinoids Beyond THC: Why This Matters 🌿
When people hear the word cannabinoids, the conversation usually jumps straight to THC. But h**p and cannabis plants are far more complex than one compound.
There are many naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the plant, and each one has its own structure, origin, and role in the plant’s chemistry. Some are well-known, like CBD and CBG, while others are considered “minor cannabinoids” because they are usually found in smaller amounts.
This infographic was created to help simplify that bigger picture.
At the top, you’ll see CBG — Cannabigerol. CBG is often called the “mother cannabinoid” because many cannabinoids trace back to earlier acidic forms in the plant’s natural development. In simple terms, cannabinoids do not just appear randomly — they are part of a plant chemistry pathway.
That is why you’ll also see names like CBGA, CBDA, CBDV, CBCV, and CBGV in the chart. These are not just random letters. They help show how diverse the h**p plant really is.
One important note: this guide intentionally leaves out THC, Delta-9, Delta-8, and Delta-10.
Why? Because not every cannabinoid conversation needs to center around intoxicating compounds. Many people are interested in learning about h**p ingredients, product labels, and cannabinoid profiles without focusing on THC-based cannabinoids.
This is especially helpful when looking at terms like:
🌱 Broad spectrum
🌱 CBD isolate
🌱 Minor cannabinoids
🌱 Non-THC cannabinoid blends
🌱 Hemp-derived ingredients
The more familiar these names become, the easier it is to understand what is actually inside a product — and what is not.
