Not the best Map of Texas… 🤠
But a great post!!!! ✨
Texas is one of the only places on Earth where the geography itself feels slightly unhinged… and honestly that’s exactly why people love it. 🤠🌵🌊🚗
Because somebody looked at a state with deserts, mountains, forests, prairies, canyons, beaches, major cities, and enough land to fit several countries and said:
"You know what? Let's put 30 million people here."
And somehow it worked. 😭
Texas stretches from the mountains of West Texas all the way to the Gulf Coast, which means this state basically contains:
• deserts
• mountain ranges
• pine forests
• rolling hill country
• cattle ranches
• farmland
• major cities
• coastal beaches
• swamps and wetlands
• and at least one longhorn currently judging your life choices. 🐂💀
West Texas feels like an entirely different planet:
• massive desert landscapes
• endless open highways
• mountains rising out of nowhere
• sunsets that look photoshopped
• ghost towns scattered across the horizon
• people who think a 4-hour drive is "just down the road" 😭
Then you head into the Texas Hill Country:
• rolling hills everywhere
• crystal-clear rivers
• wildflowers covering entire fields
• wineries and small towns
• swimming holes hidden among the trees
• roads that make you want to keep driving forever 🌅
Then North Texas becomes pure controlled chaos:
• giant suburbs in every direction
• highways stacked on top of highways
• nonstop construction
• booming cities
• football obsession reaching religious levels
• somebody crossing five lanes of traffic because they almost missed their exit 😭
Meanwhile East Texas is quietly over there containing:
• dense pine forests
• lakes everywhere
• winding backroads
• hidden fishing spots
• small towns full of history
• enough trees to make you forget you're in Texas 🌲
And the Gulf Coast is just sitting there like:
• beaches
• marshlands
• shrimp boats
• sea turtles
• coastal towns
• fishing piers
• and water that looks peaceful until hurricane season reminds everyone who's actually in charge 💀
Then there's the landscape.
Texas contains thousands of rivers, lakes, parks, forests, and public lands, which basically means no matter where you are, eventually you'll run into:
• a barbecue joint
• a lake
• a state park
• a ranch
• a Buc-ee's
• or a local explaining why their part of Texas is the "real" Texas 😭
And somehow...
the weather can be 45 degrees in one part of the state, 95 degrees somewhere else, storming in another, and perfectly sunny somewhere else at the exact same time.
Texas is basically a collection of completely different worlds held together by barbecue, football, pickup trucks, bluebonnets, and an impressive ability to argue about which city has the best tacos. 🤠🌵🌊🏈🚗😭
