Can RNs inject Botox and fillers in Ohio?

Short answer: Yes - when it’s within your nursing scope and the appropriate requirements are in place.

Ohio guidance includes considerations around valid orders, documented education and competency, and the setting in which you practice. And there’s a lot of confusion around what being “certified” actually means.

We were just in Columbus yesterday for hands-on, live-model training in a small-group setting. This is where you take the knowledge and start building real confidence.

New Jersey providers, meet Mayra Crespo, DNP, FNP-C.
Mayra is a board-certified nurse practitioner, aesthetic injector, and MedAesthetics instructor who loves helping new providers step into the world of aesthetics with more confidence.
Her favorite part of teaching? The hands-on training.
In our Botox, Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler Level I course, attendees move from learning the foundations to practicing with on live models with guidance and instructor feedback. As Mayra says, many students start the day feeling a little shy or timid, and leave feeling excited to keep learning and injecting.

New private shadowing opportunities are now available for eligible MedAesthetics past and current attendees.

Continue learning beyond the classroom with a private observational shadow day designed to give you a closer look at the rhythm of a real aesthetic practice day.

Attendees may observe consultations, patient communication, treatment planning, documentation, aftercare, and the overall patient experience.

This is a shadow-only experience and eligible attendees may participate regardless of where they live, but travel to the selected location is required.
