Some people just have to learn the hard way.
And that’s okay.
Everyone has free will. You get to make your own choices. You get to say what you want, do what you want, treat people how you want, walk away, stay, lie, manipulate, love, hurt, heal, grow, or refuse to grow.
But here’s the part people forget:
Free will does not mean freedom from consequences.
You can choose the action, but you do not get to choose whether the consequences follow.
You can hurt someone and eventually have to face what that created.
You can avoid accountability, but you cannot avoid becoming the person your choices are shaping you into.
You can keep repeating the same patterns, but eventually those patterns become your life.
And sometimes, the lesson isn’t revenge.
Sometimes the lesson is simply allowing people to experience the consequences of who they chose to be.
You don’t have to teach your ex a lesson.
Life has a way of doing that all by itself.
So choose wisely.
Choose kindness.
Choose love.
Choose healing.
Choose honesty.
Choose accountability.
Choose growth.
Choose to apologize when you’re wrong.
Choose to make amends.
Choose to learn instead of defend.
Choose to forgive instead of carry the weight.
Choose to become better instead of bitter.
Because every choice is creating something.
And eventually, you have to live with what you create.
You have free will. Use it wisely.
