SIT Service Dogs Support and Independence through Teamwork

https://shopsilkworm.com/sitservicedogs

Sit (Support & Independence through Teamwork) trains and places service dogs with people who have physical disabilities. We work from an all encompassing paradigm; a service dog needs to assist their human partner not only through performing daily tasks such as turning on lights, opening doors, or retrieving dropped objects, but needs to provide a level of comfort and social support to their people. Our dogs are trained assist with the daily chores that most mobility dogs perform as well as recognize/respond to withdrawn behaviors, anxiety, and episodic depression. Recipients often report a greater sense of control, confidence, and independence after being partnered with a dog. This means more trips to the movies, out to dinner, shopping, and new adventures!

🐾 **MANNY IS STILL LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!** 🏡❤️

Sometimes things just don't work out! Manny had an adoption lined up, but unfortunately it fell through. So this handsome, happy boy is back on the market! 🐶

Manny is one of our SIT change-of-career dogs, and while service dog life wasn't his calling, being someone's best friend absolutely is! ❤️

He's playful, loves people, and is GREAT with kids! Now he just needs a family to call his own.

📱 **Interested in Manny?** Call or text **618-559-6331**.

Let's find this sweet boy the home he deserves! 🐾❤️

The best way to spend a weekend in Southern Illinois in the month of October is to start at Faye for a delicious brunch by the fire, then go grab apple c***r donuts and a bunch of pumpkins at Rendleman Orchards and don't forget to walk through their flower fields as well for some amazing photo ops.
