Specialty Pharmacy is more than just filling a prescription. It invol

ves specialized dispensing, patient care management, and financial counseling/assistance. At EFRx we call this our Patient Navigation Process. Specialized Dispensing:

Specialized Pharmacy dispensing involves a complex six sigma dispensing process to minimize errors. From contacting your Healthcare Provider to labeling and packaging your medication, EFRx has redundant processes to catch errors and make sure your medication arrives at the right temperature and with the appropriate supplies. Patient Care Management:

A large part of what separates specialty pharmacy from retail pharmacy is the outcomes that are monitored by the Pharmacist. At EFRx we track your outcomes, hospital visits, doctor visits, medication compliance, side effects, and reactions all so we can tailor the best therapy and recommendations specific for YOU. Financial Counseling/Assistance:

Part of the navigation process is making sure our Patients are aware of their deductibles and copay's. When our Patients are experiencing financial difficulty we help them apply for financial assistance and 99% of the time their burden is lessened or relieved.

Sun Safety Starts with Small Daily Habits☀️

The sunny months are here, and while spending time outdoors is one of the best parts of summer, protecting your skin should be part of your daily routine. Excessive UV exposure can lead to sunburn, premature skin aging, and increase the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma.

To help protect yourself and your loved ones:
🧴 Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily and reapply every 2 hours when outdoors
👒 Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and protective clothing
🌳 Seek shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when UV rays are strongest
💧 Stay hydrated throughout the day
☀️ Be extra mindful around water, sand, and other surfaces that reflect sunlight

Just as important, take a few moments to check your skin regularly. If you notice a new mole, a spot that is changing in size, shape, or color, or any area of sun damage that concerns you, don’t ignore it. Early detection can make a significant difference.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month 🧠💜

Our brains shape every memory, conversation, and connection we share. This month is a reminder to prioritize brain health, learn the warning signs of cognitive decline, and support the millions of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

While aging is a natural part of life, memory loss that disrupts daily activities is not. Early recognition and medical evaluation can make a meaningful difference.

June is Men's Health Month, a reminder that taking care of your health is one of the most important investments you can make. Many serious health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers, can be easier to manage when detected early through routine checkups and preventive screenings.

Whether it's scheduling an annual physical, staying active, prioritizing mental health, or simply making time for self-care, small steps can have a lasting impact on overall well-being.

This month, encourage the men in your life to put their health first—not just today, but every day.

Today, we celebrate the life of Tom. In life we are blessed to find a few true friends that will always be there no matter what. You are very special to many people. You were a true and genuine friend to me. You were there for me uplifting my faith every day when I needed a friend to just listen and take my doubts away when my mom was sick. Your faith held me up. I will never forget that. Your faith is a gift you shared and I believe it was your calling to reach out to others to help them when they needed a friend to help them to see faith and hope and of course love. We all felt special in that you looked so forward when we would get together. It’s very heartfelt when someone has a countdown on their calendar when they are going to see you. You and Sue have been family to me and I can’t in words say how much I will miss you. Thank you my dear friend for giving me the gift of being a part of my life. ❤️

May is Asthma & Allergy Awareness Month 💙🌿

This month serves as a reminder to pay attention to symptoms that may be affecting your breathing and overall quality of life. Asthma can sometimes show up as shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, or a persistent cough—especially at night or during physical activity. Allergies may present as sneezing, congestion, itchy or watery eyes, coughing, throat irritation, or skin reactions.

If any of these symptoms feel familiar, happen frequently, or seem to be getting worse, it may be worth speaking with a healthcare provider to better understand what’s causing them and discuss the right treatment options. Early awareness and proper care can make a meaningful difference in helping you breathe and feel better every day.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙

This Skin Cancer & Melanoma Awareness Month, we’re reminded that protecting your skin is more than a summer habit; it’s a health priority. ☀️

Skin cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, and melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, can develop faster than many realize.

A quick skin check, daily SPF, protective clothing, and paying attention to changing moles or spots can make a real difference.

Remember the ABCDEs of melanoma:
🔸 Asymmetry
🔸 Border irregularity
🔸 Color changes
🔸 Diameter (larger than ~6mm)
🔸 Evolving over time

Your skin tells a story—make sure you’re paying attention. Early detection can make all the difference.

Today, on World Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis Day, we recognize the millions of people living with conditions that can make even the simplest daily movements painful and exhausting.

If you have a loved one living with autoimmune or autoinflammatory arthritis, today is a reminder that their pain may not always be visible- but it is very real. Managing constant discomfort, fatigue, flare-ups, and the unpredictability of chronic illness takes immense strength.

Let’s raise awareness not only for these conditions, but for the patience, understanding, and support those living with chronic pain deserve every single day. 💙
