October is AAC Awareness Month! This is a time to recognize the many ways people use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. 💬 We can use our AAC device to communicate what we want to do in the gym during speech therapy!

From October 19th to October 31st, all kiddos (not just clients of TEAM 4 Kids) are encouraged to come to our clinic in costumes. Whether they are store-bought or homemade, we want to see them all! 👻

How to enter: Visit our front desk and T4K receptionists will take a picture of your kiddo in their costume and upload it to our page (make sure to follow our page so you don't miss your photo!). Share the photo with your FB friends.

The top 5 boys and top 5 girls who receive the most likes by November 2nd will win a prize!

If you're wondering how to get an AAC device, start with an AAC evaluation with a speech-language pathologist.

During the evaluation, we look at your child's communication skills, language abilities, motor skills, vision, and learning style. We may trial different devices or communication systems to find the best fit. Once we identify the right option, we help complete the paperwork and work with insurance to obtain the device. You don't have to navigate the process alone; we guide families every step of the way.

There are many AAC apps available for iPads and tablets, but not every app is the right fit for every child.
