No walk in milk available today.

We have a Women’s Homesteading Class coming up October 22nd. The topic is flu tea and elderberry syrup.
Sign up is required for participation and quantity purposes so everyone gets to go home with something. 🤍

This is how I prepare my flu tea for the week (if it last that long) for our household.

I prefer mine over ice during the day 🧊

•1/4 cup to 2 qts boiling/hot water.
•allow to cool to warm temperature before straining into pitcher.
•sweeten with honey if desired.
•store in fridge and consume within a week.
•enjoy! ☕️

(Also pictures is punch tea which is sold out currently but should be restocked soon! 🙌🏻 I enjoy combining these two or enjoying separate for specific purposes.)

Saturdays - Subscriber day 🥛

It’s cold and rainy outside, this is your sign to make the stew. 🍲

Did you know pork chops can be a make once, use twice meal? 🍽️

Or use it as this purpose altogether!

We made pork chops for dinner and had left overs, the next night I put the remaining meat in with some pantry stables and ta-da nutritious, warm, hearty stew. 🙌🏻

Make it how you desire and what you have on hand!

•Meat of 2-3 pork chops 🐖
•Broth of choice 🐓 🐮
•2-3 cups water 💧
•one medium onion chopped 🧅
•rainbow carrots 🥕
•4-5 peeled and diced potatoes 🥔
•two tomatoes chopped 🍅
•spoonful minced garlic 🧄
•Salt & Pepper 🧂
•butter 💛
•Paprika 🫑
•Dried Thyme 🌿

Serve with fresh milled cornbread for a simple meal that may become a stable for your household. 🤍

Ways to make your stew more flavorful 👀

•2-3 tablespoons of fresh milled flour to thicken the broth.
•1 tablespoon Soy OR Worcestershire sauce: Use 1 teaspoon of either to add a savory, salty flavor. 🖤
•Garlic powder & onion powder: Add as you desire for extra flavor. 🧅 🧄
•add corn for alittle sweetness 🌽
•A splash of apple c***r vinegar. Brightens the rich broth. Start with 1 teaspoon. 🍎
•1/4 cup of lentils for extra protein and texture 👅
