The word “ merry” means cheerful and lively! This name for my page spoke to me, I want this to be just that, cheerful and lively, full of energy, life active and outgoing😃 I find myself at peace out in the trial, yea sometimes it’s hot or cold, windy and dusty, your muscles ache, you end up sore and sometimes bitten by mosquitos 🦟 it can be hard work but at end there’s sense of accomplishment. You feel connected with nature, even when you hike the same trail over and over you find a new view each time! Either a clear sky, sometimes cloudy or bright red before sunset🌅 it’s never boring. The variety of plants 🌵🌻 🪻🌸🌳🪵and animals 🐿️🦎🐍🐛🐝🦅🦉🦆. There’s so much to see and learn. I hope you enjoy the trials as much as me 😃

Hello! My name is Maria Covarrubias I hike and take photos while doing so 😃 A little about my hiking journey, I started hiking in 2017 with my son before he left to college, we would hike at The Panorama Vista Preserve ( The Bluffs) I was only able to walk about a mile or two, ( now I can do 3 or 4 😉) after he left he told me “ mom, don’t stop walking” so I would hike by myself, (didn’t feel safe) I did enjoy, but I found it better hiking with a friend. In 2020, I joined Fresh Journey lead by Jenn Neufeld, ( She hikes every Sunday at Hart Park) I met a lot of awesome people with the same love for hiking as me, One day someone asked me to lead them on Thursday mornings at Hart Park and the group stayed consistent. My schedule allows me to make my own hours so if someone posts a hike and I can go, I go! 🥾🥾 So join me if you can I will be posting here dates and time. I like to hike and make it enjoyable. I like to take pictures, enjoy nature, watch the sunrise or sunset 🌅 take water breaks, get to know each other and just disconnect from the daily stresses of life. I am grateful for everyone I’ve met and wish to continue to do this and encourage people to to this as well. Thank you and see you on the trial 😃
