Curious about SMILE vision correction?

Let’s walk through the process step by step so you know exactly what to expect.

First, you rest comfortably in our pre-op area. Our team goes over post-procedure instructions, places numbing eye drops so you stay completely comfortable, and offers medicine to help you relax. You can ask any last minute questions and even pick out a plush buddy, Cornelius or Seymour, to keep you company! 🧸

When you're ready, we bring you into our laser room. Friends and family can watch through the window to cheer you on. 👁️

Inside, we apply additional numbing drops and gently position you. The laser portion takes only about 10 seconds per eye. You simply focus on a blinking light while the laser creates a tiny layer of tissue to help reshape your vision. You might feel a bit of gentle pressure, but no pain. 💡

Next, our surgeon uses a microscope to carefully remove that tiny tissue disk. Your eyes remain fully numbed the entire time.

The entire process for both eyes generally takes under 25 minutes. Most patients notice an improvement in their sight as soon as they stand up, and visual acuity continues to sharpen over the next few days as healing progresses. ⏱️🙌
