🇺🇸🍖 We had a wonderful time celebrating all the amazing fathers in our community with a special Father’s Day BBQ Platter Luncheon! Residents enjoyed delicious barbecue favorites, shared laughs over classic dad jokes at each table, and spent time making memories together. A huge thank you to our incredible culinary team for serving up such a fantastic meal and helping make the day so special. We had such a great time with the Sons in Retirement (SIR) Kern County Men’s Group! They meet once a month at Hodels. It was an honor to be invited to share a little about Solstice Senior Living at Bakersfield and all the wonderful things happening in our community.

Our Memories & Mementos program was filled with wonderful stories and treasured keepsakes! Residents brought three meaningful items to share with the group, including old family photographs, travel souvenirs, published works, and cherished heirlooms passed down through generations.

One of the highlights was resident Bud, who shared original advertising materials featuring his grandfather’s lawn mower sharpener invention that was manufactured and sold years ago. It was a fascinating glimpse into his family’s history and sparked great conversation among everyone in attendance. ❤️📸🧳✨

Our residents had a tough time choosing their favorites from so many incredible vehicles, but after much deliberation, the votes are in!

Thank you to all of the car owners and clubs who participated. Every participant received a commemorative medal as a small token of our appreciation for helping create such a memorable day for our residents. ❤️
