You don’t have to be a therapist or know exactly what to say to support someone who may be struggling.
Reach out. Ask the uncomfortable question. Sit with them. Make sure they get home safely. Let them stay with you if being alone doesn’t feel safe. And don’t assume one conversation is enough—check on them again.
It may feel small to you, but to someone going through a difficult time, your presence can mean everything.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 for free, confidential support 24/7. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Check on your people—and check again. 💜🩵
