I just wanted to make a post regarding a few things that I’ve encountered in the last month or so. I want every single person who walks into the shop to have the best experience possible regardless if you’re buying jewelry, getting a piercing or getting a tattoo.
With that being said-
A question I get asked a lot is “can I bring a friend?” Short answer is yes! You absolutely can bring a friend! There is a couch in the lobby and I also have a couch at my station, if you’re feeling the need to hold a hand or have them close, we have chairs that can pull up, no problem at all.
The shop DOES allow children! We know it may be difficult to navigate daycare and pampering yourself with a tattoo or piercing should be a service available to everyone. With that being said- If you need to bring your child along with you to your tattoo appointment, the child needs to be old enough that they are self sufficient and behaved or there needs to be another adult to accompany you to keep an eye on them. If your child is running around the shop, climbing on equipment, screaming, talking excessively, approaching the tattoo tray etc.. I will have to break for you to have someone come and get them or watch them for you. IF you do not have another adult with you, your child MUST be old enough to take care of themselves.
I LOVE having people drop by the shop to say hi. It makes my day! BUT- if you drop by and I have a client in my chair and I am actively tattooing, although I may be able to cordially say hello, I will not talk with you about your upcoming tattoo during another clients session. If you drop by the shop to say hello, please remain behind the counter. The person who is getting the tattoo may not be comfortable with a crowd and they are paying for my time at that moment.
We are a very small shop with 2 workers. We do not have a front desk attendant. I do tattoos ONLY. If I am by myself and I have a client in my chair, I will do my very best to answer any questions you may have regarding piercings and if I don’t have the answers I will refer you to the shop page where Rachel can answer you with certainty! If you stop by to purchase jewelry and I am free, I will gladly sell you anything you want! Jewelry, stickers, aftercare etc.. BUT if you stop by and I’m alone and I have a client in my chair, I will not be able to stop tattooing. I will give you a time frame to come back when I’m available or refer you to a day when someone else will be in the shop with me.
I just want to make sure that every client paying for my time and my skill have the best experience possible and that everyone is stress free and safe while they are in the shop. As always, thank you guys for your support, we both appreciate you more than you know!!!
