Reverse Osmosis vs Regular Water Filters 💧

Not all water filters work the same.

Many standard filters are designed to improve taste and reduce a handful of common contaminants… but reverse osmosis systems go much deeper by removing a much broader range of impurities from the water.

Emma often explains it like this:
➡️ Regular filters = basic cleanup
➡️ Reverse osmosis = deep clean

RO systems can help reduce things like heavy metals, chemicals, fluoride, and other unwanted substances many people are trying to avoid in their homes.

One important thing to remember though — because reverse osmosis removes so much, adding minerals back into the water afterward can be incredibly beneficial for balance and hydration.

Clean water + minerals = a beautiful combo

Don’t leave your minerals at home this summer, mate.

Sweating, sunshine, travel, and long days outside can all leave you feeling depleted fast. Em
ma always says hydration is more than just drinking water — your body also needs minerals to actually utilize that water properly.

That’s why the Baja Gold Travel Grinder is one of the easiest little wellness staples to keep in the car, camper, picnic basket, or handbag this season for easy hydration support wherever summer takes you.

Fevers are often part of the body’s natural defense process… but when temperatures climb too high, they may need to be carefully managed.

Wet sheet packs are a traditional hydrotherapy method using cool wet sheets wrapped around the body to help cool things down.

Because this method involves the entire body and fever management, proper instruction and safety precautions are incredibly important. Long form video on wet sheet packs is available here: https://youtu.be/6jG0067wTN0?si=ZgVVKh2Vr-HQACYz

Wet Socks 🧦❄️…Yes… cold wet socks.

A simple hydrotherapy method Emma especially loves for children with those stubborn nighttime coughs that just seem to linger.

Cold wet wool socks first → followed by a thick dry wool pair over the top → then straight into bed.

So many of these traditional remedies are shared inside the Natural Remedies Encyclopedia available on EmmaWellness.com

One of Emma’s most-used hydrotherapy methods for respiratory support? Hot & cold fomentations.

Traditionally used alongside rest and supportive care for tight coughs, congestion, bronchial discomfort, and more — but because steam and heat are involved, safety matters.

Emma is currently working on a long-form YouTube video covering:
✔️ Safety precautions
✔️ Proper setup
✔️ When to use hot water bottles instead
✔️ Practical home applications

Hot and cold water can be a powerful combo.🔥🧊🔥🧊🔥🧊

Emma commonly uses simple contrast baths using:
✔️ One bucket of hot water
✔️ One bucket of cold ice water

3 minutes hot → 1 minute cold → repeat for 3 rounds.
Always start HOT and end COLD.

This method is traditionally used in home hydrotherapy for things like ingrown toenails, splinters, and stubborn irritation.

⚠️ Extra caution should always be used with children, diabetics, elderly individuals, numb feet, or fragile skin. More mild temperatures and shorter times are often best.

Hydrotherapy is all about working wisely and safely with the body. The Natural Remedies Encyclopedia goes deeper into these methods and safety principles. Get your copy today on EmmaWellness.com

Headache coming on? Emma’s first thought is often a hot foot bath.

A bucket of hot water (around 118°F — as hot as comfortably tolerated), feet soaking for 15–20 minutes, and for an added bonus… a cool cloth on the back of the neck.

The idea is simple: encourage circulation downward toward the feet while helping relieve pressure in the head.

Simple remedies are often the ones people forget about first.

Always use caution with heat and discontinue if uncomfortable. Learn more practical hydrotherapy methods inside the Natural Remedies Encyclopedia on EmmaWellness.com.
