My grandmother would burn her hair every time she cleaned her brush or comb. I remember asking as a kid why is she doing that and my uncle teased that it was to keep from birds making a nest with it🙄😒😑😂But really it was about protection, sometimes it’s about cleansing, & most times it’s both.
Your hair is DNA & can be the most potent tool used in any ritual or spell work next to spit & ge***al fluids. The Most potent of curses & hexes usually has DNA used to specifically direct & stick an attack to someone. It can also be used to amplify the effects of benign spellwork for someone as well.
For me, when I burn my hair; it’s a release. Anything that could have been plaguing me, anything that might’ve been sent my way, habits that I’ve outgrown or need to remove, negative thoughts, etc…gets removed once plucked from my head & burned.
You may see some practitioners cut their hair & burn their hair as way of initiation into a new phase of life often leaving behind curses placed on them or their bloodline created either by themselves or sent by others.
It’s a way to cleanse, a way to protect from, & a way to direct & amplify magical workings.
Why do you burn your hair? What were you taught about burning hair?👀🤔
