Your appointment was scheduled, but life got busy. You figured a few extra weeks without Botox or Dysport wouldn’t matter.

You’d reschedule when things calmed down.
Here’s what happens in those “few extra weeks” during summer.

Expression lines exist on a spectrum. Dynamic lines appear only when you move your face, when you squint, frown, or raise your eyebrows.

Static lines are visible even when your face is at rest.

The hardest part isn’t the appointment. It’s the 30 seconds before you say the thing you’ve been avoiding.

Most patients who are experiencing changes in desire, comfort, or intimacy have rehearsed what they want to say a dozen times. And then the appointment starts, their clinician asks “how are you doing,” and they talk about everything except the thing they came to talk about.

Most people expect the injection part to be complicated.

It’s not. That part takes about 10 minutes.

What takes longer is the conversation beforehand because that’s where we map out what you actually want your face to do.

Here’s what your appointment looks like:

We start by asking what bothers you. Forehead lines? Crow’s feet? The furrow between your brows? Then we watch your face move by raising your eyebrows, squinting, and frowning so we can see which muscles are creating the lines you want to soften.

This isn’t about freezing your face. It’s about relaxing specific muscles so your expressions look natural, just softer.

The injections take about 10 minutes. You’ll feel a few small pinches. Some areas are more sensitive than others, but it’s quick.

Afterward, you might have small bumps or slight redness. That fades within an hour or two. Most people go right back to their day.

Results take about 14 days to fully settle. The muscles gradually relax, and lines soften as movement decreases.

Results last 3-4 months. After that, movement returns, and it’s time for another treatment.

The goal: softer lines, natural movement, and a face that still looks like you.
