🚨 It's Double Vote Day! 🚨

This is probably the last 2x Vote Day before this round ends. Hopefully! Because if I'm being honest, Double Vote Day means double the anxiety for me. 😅

Today is the day I ask for a little extra help. If you've been considering making a donation, today is the day. 3 days left in this round, and then it's on to the semi-quarterfinals!

Here's a crazy fun fact: there are over 2,000 groups in this competition, which means more than 180,000 artists started this journey. Making it this far means we've already survived the first massive cut and watched over 160,000 competitors get eliminated.

That's honestly incredible, and it's all because of you. Every daily vote, every share, every person who scanned a QR code or told a friend has helped get me here. And if the pattern holds, we'll probably have another 2x Vote Day, so keep an eye out and save those extra votes for when they count the most!

And a special thank you to Adam for pushing me to do things beyond what I thought was possible. Sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you before you're ready to believe in yourself.

Steven discovering that Buddhism, the religion he thought was all peace, compassion, and enlightenment, has struggled with misogyny for over 2,500 years...

"Wait... what do you mean some traditions treated women as spiritually inferior? The Buddha ordained women, but later institutions still found ways to put limits on them?"

The more I study religion, the more I realize that spiritual teachings and human institutions are often two different things. Buddhism has some of the most beautiful teachings on compassion and reducing suffering, yet it still reflects many of the patriarchal attitudes found throughout history. In a strange way, that's become one of the biggest lessons of my Religious Studies degree: even the most enlightened ideas have to pass through very human hands.

After tonight, things get even more serious. The next round is a full week long, and I'll need to finish in 1st or 2nd place to move forward. After that come the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and then the Final Finals.
