Loyola University Maryland student Emma spent her Spring Semester working with members of The League's SCALE Aphasia Program. She reflected that: "“Through SCALE, I’ve learned that communication goes far beyond spoken words and that genuine human connection is essential to recovery. Aphasia presents differently for each person, but SCALE creates a space where those differences are respected and valued. It’s a place where everyone can come together, feel understood, and be fully themselves without pressure or judgment, which makes authentic relationships possible in a really powerful way.”
