Do you know Symoi? If you've ever seen or done any of the fun activities at The League at Camp Greentop in the past two years, chances are you do!

Symoi joined The League's Adult Medical Day Recreation Team in August of 2021. She really enjoyed connecting with the participants and orchestrating the engaging electives that shaped their days. When the opportunity to work as part of the Camping & Recreation Team arose, Symoi was excited to transfer what she had learned in The League's Multipurpose Room to the great outdoors!

With Fall Weekend Respites underway, we are so glad that Symoi is in charge of the recreational therapies available to the campers at Camp Round Meadow!

Shout out to the staff and participants in our Meaningful Day Program for finding super fun activities in the community despite the sudden chill in the weather. Adults in the program are encouraged to exercise independence and maximize their joy while completing activities and navigating social situations in the community. We even explored Rash Field Park and enjoyed the Baltimore waterfront views!

The fantastic Recreation Team for our Adult Medical Day Program crushed Med Day Week! From Monday 9/21 through Friday, 9/25, the activities and programming were filled with fun, creativity, excitement, and talent!
😴 Monday had us lounging in comfort and style in our jammies!
🍹 Tuesday had us putting our mixologist skills to the taste test!
🎯 Wednesday brought games, friendly competition, and prizes!
⚔️ Thursday had us fighting for kingdom and glory with Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament!
🎤 And Friday has us showing off our talents in some truly mismatched outfits!

Adult Medical Day Week may be over, but our shared work continues. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue showing Maryland the value and magic of Adult Day Services!

We are so proud to announce that Michelle Johnson, M. Div, MSN, RN-BC, The League's Vice President of Youth & Recreation Programs has been accepted into Leadership Baltimore County's Class of 2027!

Michelle joined this year's LBC Class because she is passionate about making a difference - at work, and in her community. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear diverse perspectives from inspiring leaders, build stronger connections in Baltimore, and champion The League's mission of independence, self-sufficiency, and joy for people of all ages and abilities.

The League will host a Vaccination Clinic on Friday, October 2nd from 10AM – 2PM. The vaccinations available include COVID, flu, pneumonia, shingles, RSV, and tetanus.

The clinic will be open to staff, participants, care providers, and community members. You can pre-register by following the link below. Pre-registration will close 48 hours prior to the clinic date. Walk-ins will be accepted.

Last week, we celebrated Employee Appreciation Week for the incredible staff at The League!

Monday morning featured breakfast from Iron Rooster - trust us, you're going to want to try the baked French Toast platter!
Tuesday brought with it options for exclusive League SWAG items.
Wednesday had us all finding our Zen in an adaptive yoga class.
Thursday afternoon was fueled by sweet treats from Deddle's Mini Donuts
Friday gave us all an excuse to party like Y2K with a throwback theme from 2000! We ate comfort food from MISSION BBQ, celebrated our employees with milestone tenure awards, voted on our choice of staff superlatives, gave away some awesome raffle prizes, and danced to our favorite jams thanks to DJ Rosie!
