Keeping little hearts healthy is serious work. But every now and then, it’s good to add a little extra sweetness to the day! 🍦

Our Heart Center team celebrated National Ice Cream Float Day by taking a quick break to enjoy some delicious floats and even better company.

Moments like these remind us that the best teams are built not only through hard work and dedication, but also through laughter, connection, and a little fun along the way. ✨

Here’s to caring for our kiddos, supporting one another, and celebrating the people who make our Heart Center such a special place. ❤️

🎓 Congratulations to our graduating Pediatric Cardiology Fellows! 🎉

As another academic year comes to a close, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of David Freeman, Jacob Convissar, and Qimin Ng as they complete their Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship training.

We are excited to see each of them embark on the next chapter of their careers:
🔹 Dave will join UPMC Harrisburg as a Pediatric Cardiology Attending.
🔹 Jake is headed to UPMC to begin his advanced training in Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant.
🔹 Qimin is off to CHOP to also pursue training in Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant.

Their dedication to patient care, education, research, and their fellow trainees has made a lasting impact on our program. We congratulate them on this well-deserved milestone and look forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead.

As we celebrate our graduates, we are also excited to recognize the fellows continuing their training:

⭐ Our rising third-year fellows—Alix Mizoue, Joseph Andreola, and Yonatan Wolnerman—are stepping into leadership roles and will help guide the next generation of trainees.
⭐ Christian Soeharsono, Kieran Hughes, and Tyler Tolleson begin their second year with growing expertise and enthusiasm as they continue to develop as pediatric cardiologists.

🌟 We are also thrilled to welcome our incoming first-year fellows, Christie Zheng, Julia Zhu, and Lawrence Zhang, whose diverse experiences, curiosity, and dedication to caring for children with heart disease will further enrich our fellowship community.

Thank you to all of our fellows for their commitment to advancing pediatric cardiovascular care. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and excellence together.

❤️ Meet the Leadership Team Guiding the Future of Pediatric Heart Care ❤️

Our Heart Center leadership team is now complete!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Aimee Armstrong, Director of Pediatric Cardiology, who officially joins fellow Heart Center directors Dr. Stephanie Fuller, Dr. Dheeraj Goswami, and Dr. Hee Cheol Cho on Monday, June 22.

Together, these exceptional leaders bring a shared commitment to innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care for children and families facing congenital and acquired heart disease. 🫀

We couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead as this talented team works together to advance our mission and continue providing outstanding cardiac care.

Four directors. One vision. Endless heart. ✨

Happy belated first birthday to Hopkins , Annie! ✨

“You truly saved her life (and ours!) this past year. There are honestly no words big enough for the gratitude we feel for the care, skill, and love that surrounded our family during such a vulnerable time.

Getting to celebrate this milestone with a healthy, thriving, joyful little girl feels incredibly emotional, and all of you are part of that story.”

Here’s to many more birthdays to come! 🥳 ❤️
