There’s a certain kind of person who keeps the calendar open just to mark when we’re showing up.

If that’s you — September doesn’t leave much room to guess.

Holmes Hydration is on the road across Baltimore, the DMV, and beyond this month — market tables, a waterfront partnership, two nights of DC Art All Night back to back. And twice this month, we’re not just showing up — we’re hosting: the Steep Station unveiling at Community Potluck, and a hike with Tiff out at Honeygo. Then we close it out walking together — Miles & Meaning returns to Carrol Park.

A corner with a bigger purpose.

Holmes Hydration x War Ready Warriors are officially unveiling our Community Tea Corner on September 6th.

Complimentary herbal tea. A place to connect. And eventually, a home for wellness programming designed with the community in mind.

We’ll celebrate the unveiling alongside our Community Potluck—good food, good people, and an opportunity to build.

Wellness should never feel out of reach.

While dropping off some offering we got the chance to build with the owner of Nekter Crofton , and talked about why creating space for local makers has been part of their vision from the beginning.

But the conversation went deeper than business.

We talked about access to wellness—and the importance of not allowing anyone to make you feel like taking care of yourself isn’t for you.

Good health shouldn’t belong to a certain neighborhood, income level, or type of person. Everyone deserves access to resources that can help them take better care of themselves.

That shared belief is a big part of why this partnership makes sense.

Two businesses. One community. More access.

And we’re just getting started

Some places carry products. Others carry belief.

Flourish Baltimore was the first retail home for Holmes Hydration, and that will always mean something to us.

More than a storefront, Flourish is a wellness hub for Baltimore—a place where community, education, and small businesses come together. It was also the home of our very first Sip & Wick workshop, making this space part of our story in more ways than one.

Grateful for the trust, the partnership, and the love that’s always here.

Three years TODAY. 1700+ people!

Holmes Hydration started because we found something beneficial in plant wellness, but we didn’t hear enough people who looked like us talking about it.

I believed in what I had. I just wasn’t sure if we’d find an audience willing to listen.

Three years later, we found more than an audience. We found community.

The conversations with people. The relationships with other business owners. The resources we’ve been able to pour back into our communities. The influence we’ve been fortunate enough to have. Even the mistakes—I’m proud of those too. They taught us how to build this the right way.

I never thought about quitting. If anything, this journey has continued to remind me that a higher power has His hands on me.

And three years is a little scary, because we’ve already made some major strides—and I know we haven’t unveiled everything Holmes Hydration is capable of becoming.

The vision hasn’t changed. You just haven’t seen all of it yet.

Holmes Hydration is a wellness hub for the people.

More offerings. More community initiatives. More partnerships. And I’m putting it into the atmosphere now—scholarships.

And to my wife: thank you for sharing your husband with the world. Building this requires more from our family than people will ever see, and I’m incredibly grateful for you.

Three years down.

If Holmes Hydration disappeared tomorrow, I hope people would remember one thing:

If you’re faithful to the art, the seeds will grow.

Year 4, let’s see what grows.

There’s something special about walking into a space and seeing something you created sitting on the shelf.

We stopped by Nekter Crofton Juice Bar to check in at The Corner Store @ Nekter , catch up with the owner, meet a few customers, and spend time in a place that has welcomed Holmes Hydration.

Imagine two Black men choosing collaboration over competition. Choosing to build together. Choosing to create spaces where our communities can experience wellness through partnership instead of isolation.

That’s what this relationship represents.
