Fee King's    Run PRAY Heal - A  Movement Praying because there's power in prayer. I Run, because my Strength & Discipline lie in running for others happiness I'm running to inspire and
spark change.

I am
running to give hope to those
who have felt hopeless. While running my first
marathon, March 20th, 2011,
I realized the true power of
prayer; as Focused prayer,
determination and the need
to win , at my life, propelled
me across that finish
line. While running, I prayed
not only for inner strength,
focus and will power, I found
myself praying for people that I've encountered along my journey;

those who've influenced me, taught me life altering lessons, loved me and even hurt me. When I run, My mind syncs with the Universe and my environment. Challenges become oppurtunties. Anger or disapointment turn into compassion. Wounds are healed when I RUN and PRAY!

Day 56 training 4 our wedding and I’m keeping it REAL with you.

Before Sekou, marriage was never on my radar. EVER. I enjoyed my Single life. Because I was so frustrated with dating that I made peace knowing I’d probably HAPPILY just grow old and become the Black version of The Golden Girls with my homegirls: Tonya and Lamese.

People would say.., ‘date a man who’s your friend,’ but I didn’t believe men even knew how to be my friend.

I prayed and kept my standards high: he had to love to run and he had to love to read or atleast could read.

My prayer was answered. Then he had a Massive stroke. SHOCKED is an understatement. Amnesia, paralysis, cognitive challenges... it devastated us.

Leaving never entered my mind.

Today He can run and READ! He’s not where he WILL be; but thank God he’s not where he was.

Fellas, high blood pressure and strokes will steal the midlife partnership you want—stop ignoring your health.

And ladies over 40, don’t give up on love and marriage. God can exceed your list.

We’re working up to 12 miles a day. And listen, you’re a huge part of our July 14th announcement.

We’re at Day 55 training for our WEDDING of , and I’m dropping some candid, unfiltered ‘Real-Talk’ after we hit the pavement.

Let’s be entirely transparent: for us, running isn’t just exercise or about losing weight. Running is about OUR ‘Lyfe Condition.’ It’s the antidote. It’s how we outrun the heavy mental weight we aren’t “supposed” to talk about. Black men, taking care of your health—mentally and physically—isn’t a luxury. It is your primary responsibility. You cannot lead, provide, or love if you are running on empty.

And to the women over 40 watching us: it’s time to re-think love. Love shouldn’t mean surviving a partner’s unaddressed trauma. True love looks like choosing a partner who chooses to heal, and choosing a life where peace is the priority, not the price of admission.

We’re putting it all on the pavement today. No filters. No hiding.

Today is Day 54 Trauning 4 our WEDDING .

Once you set in motion an accomplishing a goal-the red carpet of lights! Smile! Camera! Action aren’t going to magically appear to present a smooth ride for you. Quite the opposite.

I don’t wake up well rested with 6-8 hours of sleep.

I remind myself of the promises I made to myself and my fiance.

I state what I’m GRATEFUL for and that is what gets me from under the sheets and into these NYC Streetz

Sekou and are not training exclusively for a wedding day day-we are training to accomplish something that no other couple has achieved.

We stepped out the door two hours late into the blazing heat, but by mile 8, the only thing WE could feel was pure gratitude. Want to know why?

Today is day 63 of our over 155 consecutive days of training for more than a WEDDING day; but a commitment journey.

My friend of 21+ years and now fiance suffered 2 strokes. This is HIS comebackl and OUR new chapter.

When you’ve made a commitment to yourself? Your life? Your partner?— who is holding you accountable to actually sit down, stretch, + Recover and rest?

Tens of thousands of steps. And an international food festival that was worth every single mile—even for someone who doesn’t love walking; but overstand a HER benefits.🚶🏽‍♀️

It’s easy to celebrate the 5+ miles, the strength training , and the over all training milestones. But lately, I’m realizing the real magic doesn’t happen while you’re moving. It happens in the quiet moments right after.

Change happens when you start listening to what your body is actually asking for. Are you giving it what it needs today?

They told us to slow down after the health scare, but what if the comeback trail is exactly where you find your greatest purpose and your stride.

50 days of showing up. 50 days of choosing health, choosing each other, and rewriting the narrative of what life looks like after a stroke.

Today, our training took us right through the middle of the Hell’s Kitchen International Food Festival—smells of home, flavors from around the world, and a reminder of everything we are alive to experience.

Sekou is out here showing Black men what it looks like to reclaim your strength without losing your stride.

And for my sisters looking at us: do not compromise on the kind of love that laces up its sneakers to build a life with you. We aren’t just training for a wedding; we are training for a lifetime of victories.

Don’t model your couple goals after US-Design the relationship of YOUR choosing.

Happy Wellness Wednesday Fam!

Today is day 48 of our Training 4 Our WEDDING.

Someone said to Sekou and I the other day, that because we’ve been friends for 21+ years, we know everything about one another.

Sekou’s response was…” We’re learning things about each other everyday.”

During Sekou’s appointment with his new Holistic Integrative Doctor- I learned something about him that elevated my… Respect Admiration Love for him
