Another day, another prototype. 🧪

RedEnvelope’s engineering lab is in full swing this March as we test new mold iterations for our next-generation menstrual cup.

Innovation in women’s health starts here: iteration, testing, and listening to real users. These 3D-printed molds helps us create bench-grade prototypes so we can study folding mechanics before moving into larger manufacturing runs.

🖤 Today we honor Henrietta Lacks, the “mother of modern medicine,” whose cells transformed biomedical science. Taken without her consent in 1951 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, HeLa cells have powered breakthroughs in cancer research, vaccines, fertility science, and more.

Her story is both a scientific legacy and an ethical reminder.

From our headquarters in Baltimore, RedEnvelope is committed to building women’s health technologies rooted in equity, consent, and inclusive representation. Black History Month is about remembrance, dignity, and responsibility — and a reminder that honorable research is truly innovative when it reflects the full diversity of women.

This Black History Month, we’re celebrating iconic Black women and their important role in U.S. history 🖤📖

Today we recognize Mother Mary Elizabeth Lange, founder of the Oblate Sisters of Providence in Baltimore and a pioneer in education and healthcare for the Black community in the 19th century. Her legacy continues to inspire our mission to make women’s health more accessible.
