Since 1999, OCHO has made a tangible and measurable difference in the health and well-being of our partner communities in rural Honduras. We are deeply grateful to the volunteers who make this work possible—from those who tap into their networks to secure donations of medicine and equipment, to the clinicians, teachers, and interpreters who give their time and expertise to work alongside local health professionals.
Thanks to this collective effort, the rural communities we serve in the Santa Barbara region have built stronger, more resilient health infrastructure. Our goal now is to sustain these gains while responding to evolving community needs. OCHO is committed to continually strengthening and expanding our programs to meet that challenge.
Your support is essential. This transformative work is possible because of generous individuals and businesses who believe in health equity and sustainable development. We are especially grateful to those who have supported OCHO throughout the years—your generosity has helped us accomplish so much.
To celebrate 25 years of service in Honduras, we are launching a $25,000 Capital Campaign to help ensure that OCHO’s next five years build on this strong foundation. Your support will fund professional training and offset costs for supplies and medications that are essential to advance health, education, and community development in Honduran rural communities.
As an all-volunteer organization, we put every contribution to work where it is needed most, making each gift go as far as possible.

The amazing Derm’s saw so much skin cancer in Honduras 🇭🇳… Mercy Viator, NP Mercy and Rachel were so busy seeing patients, teaching the local physicians and doing much needed surgery. OCHO needs to raise the funds to pay for the pathology. Please consider a small donation! 🔗 Link in bio

Celebrating the dream of officially collaborating with OCHO and the UNAH Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras for training, research, and rehabilitation care for the prevention of disability for the Honduran community. Signing the agreement with the University of Honduras and OCHO to collaborate on training research and educational pursuits happens because of all of our support and donations! 🎉🎊🎉🎊🇭🇳🇭🇳🇺🇸🇺🇸

From 2025 to 2026 the project mentioned in the video went forward and now it is a operating rehabilitation center with staff, equipment, training, and permitted collaboration between the municipality, OCHO, the University of Honduras and donors.
