When the Caregiver Needs Care
What happens when the caregiver needs care?
For so many Black women, caregiving becomes second nature.
You remember the appointments. You notice everyone’s mood. You hold the family together. You keep going when you are tired. You adjust. You anticipate. You carry.
But what happens when your own body starts asking for care?
What happens when you are navigating perimenopause while still mothering, partnering, working, serving, supporting, praying, managing, and showing up?
What happens when the strong one is tired?
Beautiful woman, you deserve support before you reach the breaking point.
You deserve softness before you collapse.
You deserve a sacred pause before you keep going.
That is why The Perimenopause Peace Circle is being created — as a sacred small-group experience for Black women navigating perimenopause, caregiving, relationships, emotional overwhelm, and the journey of returning to themselves.
This is not about adding more pressure to your life.
This is about creating space for you.
Reflection Question: Where in my life have I been giving care without receiving enough care?
Affirmation: I can be strong and still need support.
Comment “SUPPORT” if this season is teaching you that you cannot keep carrying everything alone.
